but ur 2002 tax papers should have the info on it no?

Its my DH. We need it for the mortgage and he doesnt have his 2002 info.

Either the accountant the did his taxes or his employer at the time- the employer always has copies and should be able to provide it.

We had to go through the same thing when we bought our house. I had to go down to the county offices in Hauppauge (if you're in Nassau, I'm not sure where the county offices are), sign a couple of papers and they gave me what I needed. I went during my lunch hour, it didn't take very long. Good luck!

I work in an accounting office and I asked them and they said ask your employer for a copy because they HAVE TO keep those records. HTH

Call the irs dept. in hauppauge. I had to do the same thing last week and my transcript came three days later. Transcripts are free and the full copy is $40.
