So a few weeks ago I sent my dad a CD of possible father-daughter dance songs...I wanted him to love the song we picked, since it was his special moment. Every time I talked to him since then, he kind of blew off the wedding talk, so I didn't think it was that important. Then last night I talked to my mom and she was like, 'Your father has been spending all this time looking at wedding websites to find the perfect father-daughter song.' He apparently found a site that includes the lyrics of a ton of songs, looked at ALL of them, and made his own list! He e-mailed it to me this morning, and here are my top pics:

Right now I'm leaning toward God Only Knows b/c Dad took me to my first concert (yep, the Beach Boys) and it reminds me of our trips together when I was little, but I'm going to download the others from iTunes. I love my dad, here I thought he didn't care and he was hard at work!

Awww that is really cute. My Dad is in denial about the whole wedding, so getting him tot alk about it is hard.

Thanks, everyone. It makes me really happy that he took the time to do this. He's also not a big dancer, so the fact that he is really considering the best song means a lot!

OMG 'God only Knows' is my song with my dad..he doesnt know yet but I also grew up listening to the Beach Boys b/c my dad was (is) a huge fan..I cant even listen to that song now without getting hysterical!!

BTW Becks526..'God Only Knows' is a pretty short song, I know you said your dad isn't much of a dancer, so that would make it short and (definitely) sweet..not that I am biased or anything!!!

Haha, I thought the same thing! I listened to the others while I was at the gym tonight and I LOVE the Mark Wills song but it has too strikes against it: 1) too country (dad hates country) and 2) too long. I'll have to talk to him soon and we'll narrow this down. 'God Only Knows' is probably my top choice. It's also not as sappy so I'm less likely to cry!

OMG..I just started to tear up.. ...sometimes fathers dont say anything or seem like they brush wedding talk off because they dont want to lose their little girl..Im so glad he went ahead and did his research...so sweet

That's really sweet!
I talked to Dad tonight and gave him my take on the songs. He's coming to visit in a few weeks and he was like, 'we can sit down and listen to everything together to decide.' Awwww! My dad's the best.
