We all know about each others weddings. Im curious to know how he proposed If you want to share..Please Post! My story: Aug. 15,1998 My 'hubby' calls me @ my parents house, he was home @ his house working late. Asks what time he wants to meet and if I'd eaten dinner yet. I said I hadnt and he offered to bring Wendy's. Gets to my parents house about an hour later with Wendy;s bag in hand. Sits @ the dining room table and is desperate to eat quick..'Im starving' hes saying..meanwhile right before he came, I cut my finger and was trying to wash up and hes telling me to hurry up..LOL I finally go to table and he says, 'this is your bag'..I open it up and scream..On top of my 'baked potato' was a pink velvet box..I ask him..'Whats that??' 'Open it' he says....I do and theres my ring ...He proposes and of course I said 'yes'

he tells me that he is dying for pizza.. the whole weekend, he's like don't forget we're getting pizza tomorrow.. I'm like ok.. what's up with the craving.. so he goes to get the pizza and calls and asks if pepporoni is ok, and i say that's fine.. lol.. so, he comes home and brings in the pizza, and there is something sticking out of the top, I said what in the heck is that, he said it's the new things they put in the pizza to hold the top up.. so he gets plates and asks me if I can get him a piece (usual) so I opened it and it said MARRY ME IN PEPPORNI.. the best thing about this story is.. We had a house fire and lost EVERTHING.. he had made me a ring holder at this pottery painting place, I was so upset that I had lost it.. When he went to the house to recover anything he had gotten the ring holder and hid if from me for about a year, and sitting in the middle of that pizza was the ring holder, it was so sweet.. AWWW.. We went to a friends wedding and he had planned beforehand for me to catch the boo-k and him to catch the garter. His SIL stood up with me when it came time for the boo-k toss which really confused me because she is already married and the boo-k came right to me. Then my FH caught the garter. Then I sat down on a chair in the middle of the dance floor and the DJ gave my FH the mic. First he congratulated our friends then he told everyone it was his birthday (another reason I had no idea he would propose then) then he said ...' and this just so happens to be my girlfrind of 7 years who I love very much' My face was as red as a tomato. Next thing I knew he got down on one knee and proposed. And then the tears started flowing. Because everyone knew it was happending they all had their cameras ready and we have the most amazing pictures from that night.

FH proposed in italy, while on vacation. We went out to dinner with my family one night. My family kept ordering tons of food. I told them that i did not want anything else because I was full. Well, my aunt insisted on ordering something else for me. Before it came, FH and I went for a short walk around the restaurant. There was actually a wedding taking place. We were watching the bride and groom cut the cake.
We got back to our table and there was a covered plate where I was sitting. I leaned over to FH and said.. I can't believe there is more food.. I don't want this.. what should I tell them? I lifted the plate and there was my e ring!!!! I covered it up quickly and then lifted again. I was sooooo shocked. He then proposed in the restaurant in front of my family and whoever else was eating in the restaurant. I said yes!!

All these stories are so sweet. Here's mine.
We went out for lunch. We had to go to a party that night and I was getting my hair done after lunch. While I had my hair done he went home. When I opened the door I saw him on the floor. I asked him why he was on the floor. Duh, stupid me.lol He had the box in his hand and he was on one knee. He always said he wouldn't go on one knee since he has bad knees. I had no idea he was going to this while we were eating lunch. He thought of it then, since it was the perfect time to do it. I had to think who to call first. Of course I said yes!!

FH put my ring inside a chocolate kinder egg.... it was AWESOME and such a surprise!!
I knew he had been looking but my sister had told me it wouldnt be that weekend because he needed to get my ring size to size the ring and she said hes going to ask you if you want to go out to dinner on Monday night and thats when its going to happen. So that Saturday we were going to go out on his boat and spend the day fishing and relaxing together. The whole car ride we talked about going out to dinner on Monday and Im laughing to myself saying too bad you dont know I know your gonna ask me on Monday. We spend the whole day out on the boat and we are finally on our way back to the dock to go home. All I kept thinking was gosh it would be so perfect if he asked me tonight what a perfect day and night we have had. I start to feel sea sick and Im hanging off the back of the boat hoping to feel better. We get to the place where We had our first trip out on the boat and he says he wants to fish right here. I was like Mike theres no fish here. He says come on just try go to to the front of the boat and try so I do and I turn around and there is wine and glasses and him on his knee. I just shook my head and said you got me.. Of course I said yes then we trailered the boat all over town telling our family and friends. The picture to the left is our engagement night.. He kept saying to himself maybe I shouldnt ask her tonight she feels sea sick. Good thing he changed his mind, I felt much better pretty quick.

I am a HUGE Disney fan. We got engaged on July 4, 2003 next to the castel at Disneyland. Here's how it happened:
After an awesome and fun day at the parks, we headed back to our hotel to relax for a little bit and at about 8pm we headed back to Disneyland to see the fireworks. There were so many people there! We worked our way towards the castle and we made it pretty far. FH wanted to go further but it was way too crazy. People were arguing, cursing; it was insane, but expected on the 4th. The fireworks started and they were so beautiful. They went on for so long and we loved every minute of the show.
The fireworks ended at 10pm and we decided to go on some more attractions. We went on the Matterhorn, the Autopia cars that go 3 mph, and the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups. After the tea cups, we started walking towards Main Street. Jaime said that he wanted to walk up by the castle. On the right side of Sleeping Beauty's Castle there is a little pathway that leads to a wishing well, waterfalls and fountains with marble statues of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is so pretty and peaceful. The castle looked so nice with the blue and purple lights shining on it.
Jaime and I talked about how perfect the day had been and how much fun we were having. Jaime asked if I wanted to go get ice cream on Main Street and of course I said yes (I cant never turn down ice cream!). He then said, 'I have something to ask you first'. That is when he got down on his knee and asked, 'Will you marry me?'. After getting all the 'Oh my Gods!', 'Are you serious?', and 'Are you kidding me?''s out, I said yes!! It was so romantinc and so perfect. It was all how I had dreamed for as long as I can remember.

My Fh called me up around 11pm ( he was supposed to work) & said why don't you come over I'm not working tonight please come over. So I went. It was a beautiful night out, so we went for a ride on his motorcycle by the Verranzano bridge, there's a promenade that overlooks the water, it's really pretty. We're just walking & enjoying the night & we started playing this silly question & answer game. He's asking me silly questions & I'm answeing them.So, his last question was 'what are you doing for the next 50 years?' I turned & looked at him & he had a box in his hand. He said if your not busy I was wondering would you be my wife, will you marry me? I started shaking & crying, then said yes.

My FH proposed while we were camping last Labor Day weekend. A couple of our friends had gotten engaged over the summer and I knew I would be next. I was hoping that he was going to do it that weekend, but I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to jinx it. So we head to the site and he was weird in the car. We get there, set up our tent, eat dinner and we're just hanging out by the fire and it's getting later and later. I started getting a little depressed because I thought I had psyched myself up for nothing and I was disappointed. All of a sudden he says I forgot, I have a surprise for you in the car so close your eyes. I was hoping for the ring, but I thought it might be something stupid like marshmellows. When he told me to open my eyes, he was in front of the fire on one knee with the ring. I started crying automatically and when he asked me to marry him before I said yes I asked if he had asked my dad for permission. He said he had and I said yes. I started screaming and crying and had to call my parents. They were waiting up for my call because they knew he was going to do it!

We went out to dinner then to the city to go on a carriage ride through Central Park, after it was over we walked through the park and sat on a bench and the rest is history!

He proposed to me on April 21, 2001 at Jones Beach at sunset.
All day long I knew something was 'up' but I just rolled with everything.
It started out that morning with my mom asking me some 'odd' questions like what kind of things I would want for my house and she hinted that Stearns was closing and they were having big sales (hint #1)
My FH and I went out to dinner later that night (one of our favorite places at that time -- the 55th Fighter Squadron) and we got a table next to the fireplace. FH was jittery all throughout dinner and he kept asking the waiter when our food would be ready (hint #2). He then mentioned to me that since it was such a nice day out, that we should go to the beach (hint #3).
So, we finish dinner and zip on over to Jones Beach. It was actually pretty busy that night and we kept walking to get away from everyone (hint #4). Finally, we find a place all to ourself and FH and I start talking about the past 8 years we've spent together and all the fun we'd had. He then says a line from one of our favorite movies, 'My Blue Heaven' and he says, 'I'm wit you' (italian accent). And I reply back 'I'm wit you too' and he says, 'Yeah, but I want to be wit you forever' and he gets down on one knee and opens this black velvet box...ahhh, I remember that night like it was yesterday.
After saying yes and crying hysterically, the first thing I said is, 'I have to tell my parents' and he says, 'They already know. I asked you dad for permission a few days ago'...
I love it!
July 4th we celebrate our 1st anniversary as husband and wife!

On November 22, 2002, just about sunset RJ proposed to me. We met to go skating on the frog pond, an outdoor ice skating rink in the Boston Common. We skated for about a half hour, then when the Zamboni was getting ready cleaned off the ice, he decided to tie his skates. Then when we were skating over, RJ spun me around and then he got down on his knee and proposed. I of course said yes! He then had a dozen roses waiting for me. Everyone clapped, it was great. The he booked a room at 15 Beacon, and everyone knew congratulated us. When we got to the room, a bottle of champagne was waiting for. Then after telling our families, we went for a nice dinner at the Hungry I. The restaurant served French country cuisine and is an old house on Charles Street. The food was delicious and it was very cozy to eat in an old-fashioned dining room. It was magical night just as he planned for me

We got engaged March 14, 2003. MY FH had back surgery that Jan. On March 14 we found out that he had to have surgery again, that Monday, which was our 2 year anniversary. We were (well I was) in the process of painting our new apt, I had just spent like 3 or 4 hours there painting (and our mattress got delivered that day) and I went over to his place, still paint covered mind you, and he says I want to go back to our apt to see the new mattress. So we go back and we are just lying on the mattress talking, really about nothing in particular, and then he goes, I had lunch with your dad the other day, and I say why (as the tears start to well), then he asked, and honestly I didn't even expect him to have a ring, I just said yes, then hugged him and we were both crying, then hes like here, I'm thinking OMG a ring too!! He had been out of work for 3 months, besides that I was completely surprised.
His actual plan was to take me to River Cafe in Brooklyn on that Monday, our anniversary, and do it there, b/c I always wanted to go there and its a little expensive, but since he was having surgery....
He took me to the restaurant this year for our 3 year anniversary! It was a surprise!! He's the greatest!!!

March 13, 2004 Setting: Tiffany & Co, Manhasset
We went to look at rings, although I had made a print out of what I wanted from the website. I tried on this perfect ring but spent 2 more hours trying on others to decide that I wanted the first one. I was so hungry I started to complain and just wanted to leave. He told me to sit down and be quiet. He got down on one knee and there it was...the first ring! I said 'Of course, I will marry you. Can we go to the Ground Round or Landmark cause I am going to pass out?' He was mortified, everyone in the store was applauding and they brought out champagne. Not exactly what I had envisioned and I feel bad for asking if we could go eat. But, I would not change a thing because that is the way we are..just a lil short of perfection! Perfection would be boring!
