I would be sooo lost w/o this website. I'd be ok with most of it but it's the venting part that helps the most. Or seeing that people are going through the same problems and stresses as you are really helps me more then anything else.

Honestly sites like LIW are few and far between. For a long time I was a knot.com girl, until my friend told me I needed to check out this site. (Thanks Dana! ) And while that site is helpful, it's an international site so it's really hard to get helpful info. Sure they have local boards, but not like this! u LIW!

ITA! For me LIW mostly a support system. It's especially hard for me this whole process of planning w/o having my parents by my side, so it's been wonderful to have you girls as a substitute family

I know one thing... I would probably be spending a heck of a lot more money without LIW, hahaha. I can't imagine not being able to preview vendors (i.e. talking to other ladies here) before going to see them. It would be such a time waster!!

I so agree. I know when my sister planned her wedding, she was on the knot, but it was not helpful really. LIW is awesome.

I can ans this. My first marriage was in 1989 (remember I am the old lady here). I had no LIW- no internet at all. I did research by word of mouth and the yellow pages. I have no idea now how I put a wedding together by the yellow pages. They also had bride and modern bride magazines that were my bible at the time. Alot of my vendors were ones that my friends or family recommended. Favors were running around to stores to see what I liked. and I got ideas from other weddings I went to.

This time around its so much easier to do research.

Holy Crap!! i just realized tomorrow would have been my 20th wedding anniversary!!
