i guess i'll be the first. we were in vegas for new years with his family (mom, sister and brother in law, other brother in law, his best friend and girlfriend). everyone else went out new years eve, but for some reason didnt invite us, which i found odd but it was ok because they were going somewhere we didnt like. we drove about a mile from the strip and parked in a row of stores so that we'd have a perfect view of the fireworks (they're our thing, we started dating on the fourth of july 05). he starts telling me how much he loves me, and how he cant wait to spend the rest of his life with me, the usual nice stuff he always says, so i wasnt paying attention. it turns midnight, so i go to call my mom, he tells me to wait and call her later, again, odd, but i didnt think anything of it. he continues on about how he cant wait to spend more moments together like this one, i'm now leaning so i'm not even looking at him, just staring at the fireworks. 'babe, babe...BABE!' i look over, he's holding a ring box, he opens it and says will you marry me. I instantly start to shake, cry, scream oh my god, and shake some more. once i compose myself, i say yes and the rest is history![]()

I am still reeling from the proposal!!!
Mike arranged an over the top proposal during our trip to Las Vegas. He took me to the top of the Eiffel Tower @ Paris Hotel, distracted me and handed me binoculars so I could see four people holding up the HUGE banner on Las Vegas Blvd in front of the Bellagio saying 'NATALIE WILL YOU MARRY ME?' on it! He is an account manager w Kinko's in NYC and even had the CEO of Kinkos involved in this! He also had the manager of the Las Vegas store up @ the top of the tower with us, taking pix & taping the proposal!!
As I turned to my left, I saw Mike down on one knee with the ring in his hand! My reply was 'OF COURSE!'
When we arrived back at our hotel, Mike had arranged for the room to have a blanket of rose petals, champagne and a beautiful bouquet of stargazer lilies. After that we hopped in a limo, grabbed some In n Out burgers, washed it down with some champagne, headed to watch boxing @ MGM & then partied in the VIP @ Jet for the afterparty!!!!
It truly was the best day of my life! I get chills just thinking about it. Everybody around me pretty much knew he was planning this for months which is even more hysterical to me, I have no idea how I didn't find out!!

I was suppose to work that night at my second job (I work at a Halloween Store every year) and decided not to go into work that night and called him and let him know, so he said that he would come over. It was the day before Halloween (my favorite holiday) when he came over he handed me a pumpkin. He took the lid off of the pumpkin and inside it was filled with orange and white m&m's and printed on them it said: Teri Will you Marry Me? and peeking up in the middle you could spot the bow to the ring box.
I shocked him and myself by not crying, I think I was more in shock by him surprising me and by having the whole thing sink in

For months Fh and I had been talking about getting engaged, but he told me that around June would be when I should expect it. I figured it would happen when we go on vacation. During the holiday season, he asked me what I wanted and i told him that I wanted a black and white diamond ring (not an engagement ring) So all along this was what I was thinking that I fot. Usually he shows me my present or gives it to me a few days before x-mas. This year i was being a real pain in the *** b/c he wouldnt show me what it looked like- so I was a lil annoyed but never suspected anything. Long story short on x-mas eve at 12am (really Christmas) we were opening presents at his house and he told me there was a special surprise for me on the tree, and to go look for it. When I went over to the tree there was an ornament hanging there that said 'Will you marry me?' I couldnt believe it...and the rest is history...
