how did you....

Word your RSVP's so that you didn't get anyone who was not invited or extra people?
We are not inviting the really young children to our wedding and I wanted to do something with the RSVP card so that we wouldn't have to worry if the parents knew the kids were not invited.... does this make sense???

I know that on the actual invite it would just be addressed to Mr. and Mrs. so and so and if the whole family was invited I would just put and family... but is there a way I can put the number on the RSVP myself....

you can put at the bottom of the invite

Adult reception to follow

Or you can put
____seats have been reserved in your honor

and then you hand write the number?

I think thats what some people do!

You can always write the number of guests on the rsvp card. If less than the # invited wil be attending they can always cross it out and re-write it. This way they know exactly how many people are invited. You may get some really rude people who increase the number that you have to call but those should be few.
