that they were paying for their own dresses? I told one girl that I would pay, b/c she is paying her own way through Grad School (at NYU no less), but I think everyone else should pay? What are you gals doing??

All my girls kind of knew they had to pay their own way except for FSIL. She is an airhead. I told her about getting her hair done the day of the wedding and I think she thinks I am paying. I am going to have to chat with FFIL about his daughter.

I was in all of their weddings before and paid for my own dress so they know they are paying for theirs. I didn't say anything.

I never had to tell them. It was just understood. I was in their wedding parties too and always paid for my dresses.

I am the oldest, so I have not been in any of the relatives BP's b/c no one else has had them! My friends that are in my party it was the same, I paid when I was in theirs. But the *new* girls are FIL's and I don't want to disillusion them.... besisdes we are paying for the wedding ourselves, so I think they might understand.
