Re: How did you ask your bridal party?
I really didn't do anything cutsie...
my 2 MOH's I pretty told the day I got engaged because both of them always knew that they'd be my MOHs. My 2 cousins I asked while we were out for my grandmother's birthday. And FSIL I asked while we were at a Mets game with friends.

Re: How did you ask your bridal party?
i really didnt do anything cutesy either... my sister knew already that she was going to be the moh... my bridesmaids are my 2 best friends and the night we got engaged i sent them a both a text that said... 'so how do you feel about being a bridesmaid??'... that was my little way of telling them we got engaged and asking them to be in the bridal party at the same time...

Re: How did you ask your bridal party?
I asked them over the holidays. So when we finished exchanging xmas presents, I told them there was one more gift...
I bought them each a 'bridemaid's handbook' from theknot (bought it at barnes and nobles) and put it in a gift bag. When they pulled it out, I said 'will you be my bridesmaid?'
I actually bought all this stuff from michael's to make 'will you be my bridesmaid' cards. But I never got around to doing it. haha

Re: How did you ask your bridal party?
mine is in the works but i had handmade, personalized cards made for both the girls and guys asking them to be our ... bridesmaid, groosmen etc. then i am going to buy some flowers in the color id like to have for my bridesmaid dresses and will wrap them with a little ribbon at the end - sort of like a boquet. then i will ask!
i am also getting the flower girls/ring bearer a book and wedding related toy set!

Re: How did you ask your bridal party?
I gave each girl a handwritten card in my wedding colors and it was a personal touch that they all really liked. . .
Only one girl who was too far to get the card in time I asked her over the phone. . .but the other day I'm in Midtown and I randomly walk into a print shop by work and find 'Will you be my bridesmaid' Cards!!
OMG -- i couldn't find these things locally anywhere -- so that's why i used cards in my colors. I didn't want to order online and wait. *smh* right next door

Re: How did you ask your bridal party?
I am really into sentimental crap and love making things but since I live overseas I couldn´t b.c it would´ve been too expensive to send.
Instead I searched endlessly online for different poems. I chose three different ones (1 moh 2 bm) and changed the poems around a bit to personalize them to each girl. (they were a bit cheesy but it served the purpose.) I used an online invitation site (i think it was evite.com?) and put their poem in and sent it through email. Not as personal as I would´ve like but it was still nice.

Re: How did you ask your bridal party?
made cute little cards with an adorable poem for each one of the girls [pictures in my DIY album] and then when they accepted i had shirts made for them that said their title and their names and gave it to them at the engagement party.

Re: How did you ask your bridal party?
Good Afternoon ladies!
I have to say I should get a bride of the year award for how I asked my girls lol. I took them all out to a fondue dinner (and treated!) and handed them each a gift bag. Inside I had an enlarged picture of us and I purchased personalized picture frames that each had their name and said will you be my bridesmaid (personalization mall for about $15 each). My sisters are my matrons of honor and i got them a larger frame that fit approximately 8 pictures. I used old ones starting from when I first came home (i'm the youngest of 3 girls) all the way up to my engagement party. In the middle picture slot I printed up my own personal note to each. Their crying faces as they read them were priceless. I invited my Mom and Aunt along to participate in the festivities. It really was such an amazing night.
