my best friend has known she would be MOH for years but I'd like to do something nice to include FH's sisters. Any ideas are appreciated. TIA!

Re: how did you ask your bridal party
Everyone in my bridal party is family, mostly sisters- between FH and myself we have 5 sisters, and I have a couple of cousins I am really close with I had asked. I didn't do anything special because everyone has known for years they were going to be part of my wedding party. At Christmas I just formally asked everyone. Then we made a girls day date and went looking for dresses.
I have heard some really cute stories about how brides asked their bridal party. Some included taking them out to a tea, sending them cards with a little gift, specialty cookies that say, will you be my bridesmaid or MOH, and another where someone put a pic of the two of them in a frame with a card that said will you be my MOH.
Hope this helps!

I mailed them really cute cards that I had someone on etsy make. I wrote up a whole thing inside them.

I gave them 'Will you be my bridesmaid?' cookies from the Sugar Chic. They were so cute and the cookies were delicious. I highly recommend them!! (pics in my album)

Re: how did you ask your bridal party
I wanted to take them to dinner and ask there, but my mom said not to put them in that position in case they were going to say no for financial reasons or whatever.. so i asked them all individually wherever i saw them next; BB&B, my house, tattoo shop A few weeks later, i had them all come over for 'drinks and appetizers'. I decorated the main floor in the colors I am using-black and hot pink. I gave them each a black tote with their initial monogram in hot pink, a bridesmaid handbook, a personal poem in a frame for each of them (each also had the 10 top reasons to be my bridesmaid), a shotglass that said 'thanks for taking a SHOT at being my BRIDESMSAID/MAID OF HONOR, and a personal handwritten card about how much each girl means to me. I also framed a copy of each poem on pink paper and had them around the room, so the girls got to read each one. There was alot of weeping and laughs- just an amazing night with all of us!

Re: how did you ask your bridal party
I wish I did something special. My MOH (sister) I didn't even really ask it was assumed I guess. One BM I asked when I first got engaged over the phone. The other I asked at work (we are both teachers) during lunch/

Re: how did you ask your bridal party
I threw a bridesmaid cocktail party at my apartment... I made some finger foods, chips, dip, ordered some sushi rolls, had cocktails... and gave them each a little card and mini-gift from me.
I think the name of the cocktail party gave away why they were attending!

Re: how did you ask your bridal party
I got my FSILs personalized bridesmaid dress cookies with their names on it. I made my best friends shutterfly photobooks with pictures throughout the years (from elementary school till now) and they loved them! And for my sister, I took her to go see the movie Bridesmaids, and I got her a personalized MOH picture frame and put a childhood picture of us dressed up for halloween - I was a lil bride!

Re: how did you ask your bridal party
I've individually asked my MOH and one of my Bridesmaids, because they're not local, but FH and I want to take out his sister, our three best guy friends, one of their fiance's and my brother to dinner and ask them all together.
It's kind of a joint decision who we're choosing, because we've all been friends for more than 15 years. They're as much my friends as his and I'm just so excited at the thought of seeing him and all of our closest friends (guys and girls!) and our siblings at the end of the aisle! :)
I'm thinking of giving them each a cookie or cupcake with it written on there. I can't wait to see each of their faces when they read them.
