I just got back from an amazing weekend in Atlantic City with my FH. We decided to take an 'engagement honeymoon'! Just the two of us, took sometime to get away from thinking about enagement party planning, and wedding planning to just relax together and just celebrate our engagement. We walked on the boardwalk, gambled, stayed at the amazing Sheraton Hotel, and shopped. It was so amazing, and romantic. Not a minute went by with out one of us saying 'I can't to marry you!'
Besides an engagement party, what did you and your FH do to celebrate your engagment? Just the two of you!

That sounds like so much fun. We really didnd't do anything alone. Our celebrating really consisted of drinking a lot of champagne with family and friends (it was great!).

We celebrated right after he did it because we were on the beach so we just kept walking and talking, those are my favorite moments with him and that made it just that much better. Then we celebrated with family by going out to dinner a few days later (his parents and my parents).

We got engaged the day of a friend's graduation party from college so we had to go to the party. Our parents and his brother/sister, her husband and baby, were all invited because they know our friend so we all celebrated. Turns out the girl whose party it was had actually introduced me and FH when I was 12 and he was 15, so she was so happy she didn't care that we kind of stole her party thunder haha!

We really didnt do any celebrating alone. FH had arranged to have both our families and friends waiting for us to come back from dinner at his house!!
stephlovesseyi - Me and FH just got back from Atlantic City today! We were there at the same time haha I LOVE that place!!!!! We stayed at Tropicana for the first time, AMAZING!

I am kinda embarassed to say that we got engaged the Friday before Christmas and we ordered takeout and i sat on the phone with everyone i knew and wrapped presents! It was fun anyway.
I had always said i wanted him to propose in front of the tree in Rockefeller Center, but instead he proposed in front on the tree in his apt, he is the quiet one in the relationship...i'm the mouth!

FH PROPOSED IN DISNEY SO WE HAD A FULL DAY TO REALLY LET IT SINK IN BEFORE WE CAME BACK HOME BUT AT THAT TIME I COULDNT WAIT TO GET HOME AND SHOW OFF MY NEW BLING BLING!!!

My FH also purposed to me in Disney - that whole day we went spent going on our favorite rides & things we never got to do before, that night we sat on our balcony and started making our guest list while sipping wine in the warm beautiful weather. The next night we went to dinner with my family who was down in Disney, & Once we got home to NY we were able to celebrate again with his family.

we got engaged on a cruise..so celebrating wasn't that hard!!! drinks all night!!
