I have a bunch of quotes and have talked to diff. florists about what i want, but i dont know how to choose. I mean i am pretty much getting the same thing.. they are roses not too hard to screw up. Did you choose the cheapest? most experienced? or something else?

Re: how did you choose?
I went with Pedastals for a few reasons but mainly bc I had seen there work done a few times and felt that their CP's were fuller than the competitors I had seen...to me this was important HTH

I went with pedistals also, the deciding factors were experience and price.

Re: how did you choose?
We met our florist at a showcase early on. She works out of her home and her portfolio spoke for itself. She definitely wasn't the cheapest, but her style matched ours-- classic and elegant beauty, like it was fresh out of a Martha Stewart mag.

i met with nadia from pedestals and once we met her we loved her. She was great to work with, she listened to our ideas and not once tried to sway us a different way. She was helpful when needed to be, such as when i had questions about things and wanted her ideas.

Re: how did you choose?
I went with Flower Michele because I had friends that used them and highly recommended them. A lot of the pictures that I found of centerpieces and bo-ks on here that I liked were actually from them so that was another plus. We also had a great experience with Rich and it just kind of fit.
If you can I would look at the florists websites and see what they've done in the past to get a feel for how your flower might look, it helped us choose.

Re: how did you choose?
Nadia from Pedestals is great to work with. They were our second florist, we went to United Florist first and we had the worst expericence. The florist looked like he was high and he would listen to a thing we were saying. Always gittery and he was just awful to his staff. I liked the sample Pedestals showed us and if we didnt like the sample they would refund our deposit. I say choose the florist that you feel is comfortabe to work with and listens to your ideas.

Re: how did you choose?
I am in the process of looking at florists, and although one particular florist so far gave us the best price quote, FH and I didn't like how he was too 'salesy'.. so in the end i think it will come down to who we feel most comfortable with

We booked Pedestals because their work is absolutely amazing. They have the rep of being very expensive, but they will definitely work with your budget. You will also get a lot for your money bc their CP are always so full and fresh! We are working with Vito and he has been absolutely wonderful!

Re: how did you choose?
The way I picked my florist was that I had them make me about 5 or 6 different centerpeices with things we liked..and the one that made me get goosebumps was the florist I used.

Try to go by reputation. I always find that best.

Florists made you sample CPs before you booked?? That's how it should be, but most places don't do that. That's pretty cool!

Re: how did you choose?
I went with Pedestals because I was highly impressed with their work and I had the most amazing flowers for my wedding. Everyone was raving about the centerpieces. Price was a factor but they fit within my budget so it wasn't a major issue.

I wouldn't consider booking anyone without a sample. I am not a big flower person, I met with Josh at Stefan's because of my mom's friend's recommendation, we made a second appointment where he showed me 2 samples, I picked one, and we were done. This was 6 weeks before the wedding! I don't recommend waiting that long, but I think anyone should make you a sample -- how else do you know if you like their work? Stefans was great and reasonably priced.

Re: how did you choose?
We looked around at a couple of places and did not like what we saw and the prices were crazy ... then after so many girls on here talking so highly about Burton's we made an appointment there and spoke with Mike... He showed us a bunch of different flowers and took the time to explain everything to us ... So like others ... we booked on the spot !!!!!!!!
