Im having so much trouble with this aspect. I know what I want it to look like but I dont know what I want inside because Im not sure how it will all taste together.

I tasted a cake and a bridal expo and almost died it was so good! I asked what ingredients were in it and thats what I am having

cake? what cake? seriously, FI and are debating whether to have a cake or not. of course we will have dessert, but not sure if we want a wedding cake.
i know, so not traditional. but then again, neither is our weding.

my bakery does tastings - my parents went and tried it and said it blew all the other places away. I'm going when I am home at the end of the month to make a final decision in what I want

Christine - REALLY? Do you have to book your bakery or will they do tastings before hand? I have no idea what I want and am looking for someplace to have some cake.

Well even tho, most of the reception halls include a cake, I am getting mine from a place here in manhattan on 11 st and 1st ave, I swear they make the best everything..lol
We are having fresh whipped cream icing with vanilla bavarian cream and fresh strawberries on the inside..
I'm not sure of the spelling but the place is called Veniero's I believe and depending on the design, pretty affordable

I ended up going with something 'safe', that I thought the majority would like. I asked the baker for his opinion too.

I found out the name of the bakery they use and went there and ordered a cake , paid for it and Fh and I and FMIL and family ate it and deceided it was yummy. We are having whipped cream, chocloate devils food with white chcoolate moouse filling.
