How did you choose your BM dress?

I'm getting so frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!


All my girls have different body types so its hard to find something that everyone is happy with.

I kind of just chose a few, and showed them to my MOH, because I knew she'd be the hardest to please. Then, a few of the girls tried some on, and we picked from those.

You may want to have each BM choose a style that is best fo her as long as they are all the same color...just a thought...

Also, check out the David's Bridal website...they show you the same color dress in different styles, so you have a chance to see what it'll look like to have a bunch of different styles standing next to each other.

I took them to the bridal shop and I said 'pick out any dress you want from this maker as long as its navy, long and doesnt have pickups'

I knew I wanted tea-length and a crystal blue color. Then I searched online and found one I really liked. Then I had 4 of my girls try it on and it looked good so we ordered them. This is it

the thing is i dont even really care what they wear! lol i just want ME to look good that day!

what task did you think would be easy and then it turned out to be a big probleM?

Simple...people are annoying and sometimes dont care what you look like, sorry. Once they choose it will be done and over with. Maybe allowing different styles with a uniform color will work best

I brought 2 of them with me to the store, and let them loose ... just let them try on all the dresses that we liked even the least bit (because everything looks different than it does on the hanger).

Their body types were different, so that helped see how the dresses looked for the other girls. And we made sure we were selecting something that was flattering to most body types.

It came down to 1 dress that they both loved .... but we wanted to go to other stores to see if there was anything else we were missing out on. We kept comparing all the dresses in the 2nd store to that dress, so we knew our decision was made.

The other girls all love the dress we picked.

I would suggest just picking out an A-line dress with straps. That will be flattering on everyone. My sister is a toothpick, and my bm's are all different shapes and sizes. You really can't go wrong with an A-line. Even if one may not love it, they can't say its not flattering.

it took me forever!!!!!!!!! my BP is all different shapes and sizes so i searched and searched till i found one that would be flattering on everyone!

i encountered the same problem. my bm's are all different body types and sizes, so i told them i'd pick the designer and color and they can pick any dress in that line. that way all the girls can wear whatever they feel comfortable with. my suggestion is, if your bm's are anything like the indecisive bunch mine are, pick out the dress for them or give them a couple of options, otherwise it'll take them forever to decide on a dress. good luck.

I really wanted a dupioni or a shantung type silk dress because of my bridal party. They are all different sizes and shapes and i felt that this type of material didn't cling. Watters has amazing dresses in this fabric and the girls all chose the same dress w/o each other knowing it!
