i always thought id be going with a fall theme and go with a wine or maroon.. but now that im booked i realized two things. 1. im getting married in early september - not quite fall yet. 2. weather permitting, ill be having my ceremony and CH outside by the pools and fountains in a summery setting..
so now im thinking maybe embrace summer a bit more with some navy blue?? but that entirely changes the floral i was going to choose. also the BM dress im looking at has two colors - the main color and an accent color..
if i go with navy and accent white i feel that limits my floral choices as well as makes my BM's look like sailors. however, (hehe a bit bridezilla of me) blue makes me look awesome ive always loved blue cause i have blue eyes and they get much bluer when im around blue. its always been my fave color cause of that...
anyway if i go with maroon, what accent color do i go with? black? is that too dark for a late summer affair?
sorry to draw this post on but please help! color is SO important as it sets such a tone..

I'm pretty sure i'm going to go with sage and pale pink for BM dresses. I used to like lavender but I think it;s too much to have 5 girls in it.

I'm November, and we're doing wine colored BM dressed with the flowers you see in the background below, and my flowers will be the heart shaped red ones you see below, too.
I don't know how or when I 'picked' them... I just did!
When I was younger, I always thought I would pick Navy blue dresses as a tip of the hat to my Yankee fanatacism, but that didn't happen. I LOVe the colors we have!
my MOH actually chose the color ~ we went to look at dresses and she seen a raylia dress in turquoise and we decided that it would be a fun color for a summer wedding and would look good on all of my girls!!! my flower girl is wearing a white and light pink dress so i am doing turquoise as the main color and accenting with light and hot pink

I've always loved the purple/yellow/cream combo, so that's what we're going with. It's not going to be a dark purple, but more of a light purple/periwinkle color for the dresses, and flowers will be purples with some yellows and creams for accents. It may be a bit springy, but since we're getting married only 2 days after summer starts I figure we can get away with it!

I decided to go with a theme once I chose my RH. My RH has such an elegant feel to it that I chose a champagne theme. My colors are ivory, gold and champagne with some bright yellow and sage. The girls dresses are champage and mine is ivory with a gold lace overlay. I am thinking of giving champagne and coasters with white grapes as favors and am using mini champagne buckets as table card holders. I'm naming the tables after different champagnes. I'm the kind of person that needs to follow a theme or I'll lose focus and be all over the place!

I had always wanted a deep rose color, but since i'm getting married in mid sept i wanted to embrace the end of summer and i went with a lighter pink. however 3 of my girls look like tomatoes in pink, so they are in green....and thus began the pink & green that my wedding is

I originally choose light blue and ivory as my colors but then about 2 months ago I decided to go with something a little more classic and timeless so my new colors are champagne with pink accents. The BM dresses will be champagne and the flowers will be all different shades of pinks.

Honestly...I went dress shopping with an open mind and for the first time out, I only took my MOH with me so we could get some ideas. I let her pick out all the dresses she wanted to try on and when she found 'the dress' the color the sample was in, looked so great (sliver & black) that we decided to go with that. We got the rest of the girls to gether to see the dress and they loved it. Th BM wore all silver and the MOH wore silver and black (it was a two piece) The theme evolved from the dress colors! Silver and black with red and pink accents with the flowers. I did not base any of my decisions on the season that the wedding occured in (Spring-May)
I originally was thinking about doing sage dresses, but when we went looking my MOH tried on a sample in wine and I loved the color so we went with that. I am going to accent it with lime green flowers to make it a little summery (I'm the week after you). I love the combination I came up with
