Recommendation from here. I gave them a shot because what did I have to lose. Thank God I went!!! He told me they dont advertise, they only go by word of mouth. We have one more photo/video appointment before we make our final decision. I've been to a few places if you need opinions or quotes.

none of the above. I put up posts on theknot for videographers. I checked them all out and booked my favorite. The decision was based on his work and price.

I asked him for photographer recs, looked at all of those and luckily, the one who I thought had the best work also had the best personality!

I saw mine posted on here. I also wanted traditional film, not digital, so that plus I loved their style.

Initially my FFIL wanted me to use a friend of his and his son for the photo/video. They would have done it for a couple hundred dollars. I saw the guys work and said no way. His style is VERY traditional and it didn't appeal to me at all. I started by visiting some offices of people I had seen at bridal shows. When I joined this site, so many people recomended Duet that I figured I would go and see them myself. I was happy with their work, and their price was the best I'd seen. I put my deposit down on the spot.

i scoured the web and placed an add on craigslist. i reviewed online portfolios and met with a few in person. i went with my gut with someone who i found on craigslist, his work was my favorite at the price i was willing to pay...

I dont want to jinx myself just yet. I have one last appointment with 12th night this evening. After that, we will make our final decision.

Divabride - I'd love to know who you've met with so far and the info/prices you've gotten. It's so much easier to narrow down the search when you have more info in the beginning.


Also, I accidentally posted my poll before finishing....If you are using two different companies for photography and videography - why? What was the benefit?

Kinda a combination of two things off your list - one they are a house vendor at my hall and 2 a bride on here recommended them..
