Like 'this can't be real, I must be playing dress up' Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed about my wedding day. I can't wait to be FH's wife! After we got engaged, I was still in shock & didn't believe that I was truly getting married! But when I had that gown on, it all started to set in but was still surreal...I truly feel like a princess in my gown

Well, the first time I went dress shopping I was by myself and the women was totally unenthusiastic, so I kind of just felt annoyed.
But the next time I went, I went with a friend and to a different store, and I felt giddy and happy.
When I found 'the dress' I felt relieved because I was tired of trying on dresses!!

Mine was the first dress that I put on, and I felt like 'Wow, I think this is the one.' I tried on more after that at that salon, and then had an appointment at another where I didn't like anything. At the end of that appointment I tried on 'my' dress again since they had it there too. Then, I KNEW it was the dress. It was the only one that made me feel like a bride.

I had no intentions of buying a dress the first time I went shopping for one. I loved some styles from Eve of Milady, so my MOH found out about a trunk show at Bridal Reflections, so I figured I'd go just to browse. never in a million years did I think I was going to find my dress when I did because for 1) It seemed way to early to shop for a dress.. I went Feb 2005.. My wedding is in Aug 2006)
2) My mom wasn't even with me

Needless to say.. I found 'the one' I just had to have it.. I didn't even care about the price that moment... The girl that helped me (Dana) tried to stay within my budget for me.. and SHE DID.. I love my dress. I honestly feel like the dress was designed just for me..everything about it is my style.. flatters my body like it was conformed to every curve I have. i cant even say enough about this dress!

I wondered what I was doing and if I really belonged there, shopping for a gown.

I was fine with the dress part - but when I looked myself in the eyes in the mirror - I was floored ! I almost argued with myself - like, 'What the heck are you doing in a wedding gown' - and 'OMG - that's me!'. My mom was hysterical because I had tried on like 3 or 4 dresses - but I hadn't stopped long enough to take it in (I hate trying on any clothes) - my reaction was priceless!

After trying on numerous dresses and being disappointed, I walked into Bridal Reflections in Carle Place with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder. Dana helped me, and the first dress they brought out, was the one. It was a halo effect, I felt like I was dreaming. I didn't want to get out of it. LOL

well I first seen the dress online and I wanted that dress but I heard from people that a dress you like in a picture you may not like in person so with that in m ind I had showed my mom and grand mother the pic and I said but I bet it will look horrible on me. So we started out going to estelles and tried on a bunch of dresses I fell in love with 2 of them but still wanted to go and try on the dress that I seen online so I went to bridal reflections in massapequa and tried on a few different dresses that I had pics of and the last dress was the one that I tried on was the one that I fell in love with one the computer and I fell in love with it in person. As soon as I came out m y mom started getting all teary eyed and said thats the one and I loved it. I looked in the mirror and was amazed at how the sample fit me so perfectly it made me look curvy and made me look like I have some cleavage. not only that but the dress was just amazing and I couldn't believe that it was me. I can't wait for the dress to come in and try it on again I constantly look at the pic that I have of the dress.

When i went dress shopping for the first time I had no intentions of buying a dress either...it was spur of the moment, my mom and sis were around and we said let's just go quickly and get a few ideas! Well, i found my dress that day... I must have tried on like 20 until I put this one on and I looked in the mirror and loved it and when they put a veil on my head, i started crying... I knew right then that was the one! I tried on others, but nothing compared to the other dress.... and I bought it that day!! I never thought I would because I am so picky, but I really just fell in love with it!!

The first time I put my dress on I just knew it was the one. I got all emotional and it was the only one that made me really cry and get all giddy. When I looked in the mirror I could see my FI standing at the end of the aisle and felt myself walking towards him. It was just meant to be!

After trying several gowns and not feeling anything, I went to Bridal Reflections. I tried on two dress that I adsolutely love. They made feel like a princess and made me look thin... Since I couldn't decide which dress I combine them both..

When i went with my best friend and MOH (without my mom knowing) it was fun- she is getting married too so we both tried gowns on-it was a fun time, but i never got the OH MY GOD feeling THEN I went with my mom and the first gown I tried on she began to cry and I really had to hold back my tears... It was a touching moment

and when I found THE GOWN I was like oh my goodness... I cant believe this is it! I look like a princess- it was fun

Unfortunatley, the dress was a size 10 in bridal sizes and I was a size 14 in real sizes. Do the math. It was extremely hard to get the visual. I was fairly confident, but only until I had my dress on did I feel like a princess.
