How did you feel when you found 'THE' dress?

I'm conflicted with how I feel about 2 dresses - just wondering how you felt when you found your dress. I guess inside I feel that I should feel the fireworks inside like everyone says you should feel - what do you think?

i know i did..i tried on my dress in between each other dress that i tried on and each time it felt like i wasn't wearing a thing..i absolutely loved it and knew it was the one..keep looking is my opinion..there is one out there that you'll know is the right one..

I actually did not try on too many dresses! I think I tried on maybe 7 but I kept going back to this one! The only reservation I had about it was, I thought once it was bustled I was going to look like JLo with the big booty! Collette, the saleswoman, bustled the dress for me when I was trying it on so that I could see that it was far from that...That moment, it confirmed my feeling!

When you put it on you can literally see yourself on the day of the wedding. That's how I felt. I tried on maybe 7 dresses but 'THE' dress will always stand out in your mind. I'd keep looking

I was stuck between 2 dresses... but knew which one was the dress I saw myself getting married in...

I only went dress shopping once and tried on 2 dresses before I found the one.

I cried, my mother cried, and I didn't want to take it off, that's how I knew. Even a month afer my wedding, I still want to wear it every day!

When I found my dress, I just knew that it was the one because I could not see myself getting married in any other dress and I did not want to take it off.

It was a dress i never thought id pick and it looks so nice and flattering on me that i knew it was the one

That's exactly how it was for me. I had the 'Aha!' moment when I tried on my dress (that's not it in the avatar by the way). I think one reason I had that 'Aha!' moment is because I'm a plus size bride, and every dress I tried on was beautiful, just not beautiful on ME. Until I tried on THE dress. And it was like 'This is IT!!'

I tried on about 10 dresses before I found THE ONE. But I continued shopping and probably tried on about 20-30 more dresses. Everything kept being compared to THE ONE so I went back to try it on again. As soon as I had it on again I knew I had to have it. Every dress paled in comparison.

I was orginally looking for an off the shoulder dress and my mom pointed out the one I bought. I had my mind set on another one and I brushed it off. My mom said to try it on and give it a chance and I did. I loved it! It was me!!! It isn't even off the shoulder, it has spaghetti straps. But I knew that was the one!!!

When I saw the saleslady walked by with it on the hanger I was drooling and then when I put it on, me and my mom started crying. That was my answer!

I actually tried on a lot of dresses that I loved. So I went with the one that was most comfortable. I could just see me dancing in it all night long. My mom and sister both agreed it was definately the one but no tears.

I knew my dress was the one because I saw it two years before I was even engaged (wasn't even dating DH, we were just friends) I was helping a friend find her dress and there was my dress just screaming at me 'pick me'.

When the time came, it was actually still being made. I tried it on and it was amazing. I was so in love. My mom knew it was the dress for me.

So I tell everyone that I found the dress before the guy

if you're conflicted between 2 dresses.. neither are THE ONE.

i'm a very impatient person.. i went to maybe 3 or 4 places. but tried on a lot. i really liked 2 dresses at the first place. so i just made another appointment there and decided i would pick one that day. i was leaning more towards one of them anyway. and i was all set to get that one.

but i had a wonderful saleslady. she saw that i had made another appointment and went looking everywhere for dresses for me. she must have pulled out about 15 more for me to try on. but she saved one for last. it was absolutely beautiful and they had just go it in. i was actually the first person to try it on, and once i did i knew it was mine. i bought it on the spot.

so thats my very long story.. but still if your conflicted.. keep looking until you know without a doubt.

i was at my third shop when i found my dress. at the first shop i actually tried on the dress i ended up getting and had it as my second choice behind another dress which i loved. the second store had just OK dresses. and when i went to the third shop and tried on the one i thought i loved, i still really liked it, but then i tried on my second choice from the first shop, in a different color combo, and loved it i just knew it was the one for me. i think you haven't found the one yet, because when you do you'll LOVE it and looking at other dresses you won't leave you with that 'well maybe i should still be looking' feeling. and don't worry, the dress for YOU is out there!

It was the first dress I tried on and I LOVED it...it was so 'me'. Every dress I tried on after it, I couldn't wait to get out of. But every time I put on my dress, I just wanted to stay in it!!

Ladies, thank you so much you've made me feel better and encouraged me to follow my gut.

Right now I feel that I'd be settling for one or the other and I think thats NEVER a feeling you should have when you pick your wedding dress! As alibali said, I feel that neither is the one. I've tried on probably 30 dresses!! It gets discouraging - I just can't wait to find it!!

I agree with Allison, if you're torn between 2 dresses neither is THE ONE. I went through the same thing. There were 2 very beautiful dresses that I tried on, everyone else thought they were perfect, but I couldn't decide. I also thought they were gorgeous, but I just couldn't make a decision.
I walked away from both dresses and ended up finding 1 that was perfect a few weeks later, nothing else compared.
