I called the store where we ordered the bridesmaids dresses to see if they were in yet because I wanted a swatch. They told me that the dresses won't be in for 5 weeks but they could order me a swatch and I'll get it in a week. Is that the norm?
That happened to me too, I ordered my dresses from Bridal Reflections and I wanted a swatch before the dresses came in. They said they could do it but it would take a long time, but when the dresses come in they will give you a swatch if you want to wait. Hope this helps.
I have to wait for my BM's dresses to come in, and then when someone gets their's altered, then I can have a swatch. I hate waiting, but I have no other choice.
The store didn't have one, so my seamstress cut a piece for me.
Hopefully I'll get the swatch in a week like they said because I still have to find a florist and match the colors for favors & accessories.
I brought paint chip colors with me and matched them to the dress. It worked really well. You can get paint chips from Home Depot or places like that
My salon gave me a 1 when I ordered the dress, then about 5 more a few weeks later. I think the color is now discontinued, so they were able to rip the swatches right out of their books. For my MOB dress, they took a swatch from the hem of the sample.
