How did you go about saying thanks when opening gifts at your shower??
Did you get up each time and give kisses or did you go around the room later and kiss everyone.. & say thanks....
I 've been to several showers but i never paid attention to how how the brides to be said thanks for the gifts...
I guess I had too many drinks

Mine was tough! My cousin was helping me A LOT! She would yell out what I got. I yelled out, 'OH WOW' a lot. but, I don't think that I actually said, 'thank you' too much
But, I am working really hard on my thank you cards...

At the end I went around and said thank you to everyone... I had 70 people so there was no way I could thank everyone after each gift. we'd be there for hours!

after i opned each gify i announced what it was and who gave it to me and thanked then and said how fuctional or lovely etc it was

same here. as i opened each gift, i stated who it was from and thanked the person. I had about 65 people at my shower and there was no way that I could go around to everyone in the room
A piece of advice....have a microphone there that day! the restaurant i had mine at didn't have one but i highly recommend it so that you don't have to scream out every gift. my voice was shot by the end of the day.

the ones i have been to/.... the girl just said thank you to everyone at the end...especiallly if it is a big shower

open the card, say who its from, open the gift say what it is, maybe oh and ah, then say thank you.... it would be too much to get up after each gift... its easier to go around after your done and personally thank them, or when they are leaving...

I had almost 60 people and some people gave more than one gift and we were kinda pressed for time, so I opened the card read who it was from then opened the gift showed everyone said thank you then passed it to one of my bridesmaids. After I was done I stood up infront of everyone and told them thank you. I thanked them again when people were leaving.
