He was goign to pop the question? I had not a clue... But then I look back and little things here and there make me say 'How St*pid am I???' Like, going to Starbucks and coming back not smelling like coffee (I thought he was cheating for a while) haha

My situation was similiar because he kept saying things to make me think it woldn't happen for a while (especially that it wouldn't happen in Hawaii). But when I look back on it, the week before we went, he couldn't look at me without laughing and he offered to go and get the laundry from my parents house, which he never does (he did it so he could ask them for permission).

I had no clue. However when we were on the bus headed toward the magic kingdom he was soooooo quiet, usually we talk up a storm... I would tell him something or ask him something and he would give me these short one words answers... But I just thought he was tired since we had been up since 3 am that morning in the airport... Never in a million years would I have thought he would propose about 30 mins. after we got off that bus!

I had a clue it was going to happen the week it did...I just didnt think it was going to happen when we went wine tasting with everybody. He was acting different like not answering when i called but txt me back telling me he was running errands. then when he called back he said he was doing secret stuff....and right there i knew it lol

i knew he was shopping around for my ring but i had no idea it was going to happen so soon. i was meeting my friend for lunch (as usual) but we had to go to tiffany's to get a wedding gift for her friend. she insisted that she eat her lunch in central park before going into tiffany's. so i was clueless, texting FH how i love central park (hint hint) and when we stopped walking, i looked up and there he was. i went into complete shock mode because at this point i figured out what was happening

we had talking about marriage, but just in the general 'future.' The one day he asked me if i knew what kind of ring I liked. I said 'i dont have a clue!!!!' and then it all began...

My FH was AMAZING at keeping the secret. It is unbelievable that he kept it from me for so long (5 months!!!). We are best friends, so we tell each other everything, he said it was the hardest thing ever to keep from me. I had NO clue!

ooh i love this topic!!!! so my first inkling it was coming soon was when the fiance of one of his friends told me she overheard the guys talkin and that vin was already ring shopping... Now, i know vin, he does not buy things ahead of time... not in a million years...
We had a cruise coming up so I jus assumed he was gonna do it then b/c it seemed too perfect!!!! He got wind of me knowing so he did it totally unexpectedly like a week before we were goin away!!! I was to say the least

I had NO idea. We always talked about it but we weren't planning it for another year or so. He did all the planning while I was away on vacation so I had absoultly no clue

I knew it would be coming soon but I thought he hadn't yet bought the ring when we got engaged. Turns out, he had it in a box on the top shelf of our dining room closet and I'm in that closet all the time!

i figured it out WAY ahead of time, blabbed to me friends who, in turn, sold me out to fh, so he lied and sort of surprised me.
the giveaway: he booked the hot air balloon for napa, which was something we planned. thing is, he NEVER plans anything. if we so much as go to a friend's house on the weekend or eat a fancy dinner, i'm the one that makes the arrangements. for that vacation, i planned very STITCH of our whole trip from LA to vancouver, so it was just really out of place.
plus, i just KNEW. it's weird, even before the balloon thing.
