Re: How did you pick your BM dress?
I justt looked on designers websites, already having known a lot from when my sister got married. I found the one I loved from Jim Hjelm, and once you know the dress and item number, all you have to do is call around to find the best deal.

Re: How did you pick your BM dress?
I actually went to a bridal salon that had another dress I was looking at and my sister (MOH) found a dress that was the exact color I wanted. She tried it on to make sure I liked the color and I LOVED the dress. I still have to order them but I made an appt today for a trunk show in Feb.
I would recommend having the girls try and anything and everything you might like b/c I would have completely skipped over the dress that I'm looking to order now.

Re: How did you pick your BM dress?
I knew I wanted a certain color and that I needed a lot of styles in that color so my BMs could pick the style that worked for them. So I went online and looked for a dress designer that had them. I think I started out at theknot.com and worked from there. I wound up with Alfred Angelo because they had my exact color (Spice) in so many different styles and they're not super expensive. I toyed with David's Bridal to keep it affordable but they didn't have the right color for me.

Re: How did you pick your BM dress?
I absolutely know what your going through- it was so hard for me to find the perfect dress. First off, I would advise you too decide what's most important to you- is it the color, the fabric or the style?
For me it was color and fabric so I took that and went to plenty of bridal places to see the dresses in person. My favorites were:
The Wedding Center in Commack The Wedding Plaza in Floral Park Village Bridal in Babylon and Bridal Reflections.
I liked all of these places because they had a huge selection and the people working there were helpful. I told them what I wanted and they gave me designer names, showed me samples and swatches untill I found exactly what I was looking for,
Good luck on your search!

Re: How did you pick your BM dress?
I was going to look at dresses for me and took 2 of my bridesmaids with me. The dress I picked for them was the opposite of what I wanted but it looked great in person and on the girls.

I decided that I def. wanted Alfred Angelo b/c I looved all the colors to choose from. Sure, enough my MOHS fell in love with a certain dress, so I let them have it. I can't wait till they come in...I want to see everyone wearing it!!

They actually picked it out. I took them all to one store and they each picked out 5 or 6 dresses they liked and tried them on. I told them they had to wear the same color but the dresses could be diff (whatever they were comfortable in) After trying a bunch on they all agreed on the same dress. It worked out good.

Re: How did you pick your BM dress?
I knew I wanted some type of vibrant purple and tea length.
Then I saw these go on sale at Ann Taylor Celebrations for $27....I bought them for all my girls. The ecnomy is horrible, a few of my girls have been laid off, others are struggling....this was too great to pass up!
I'm all about being practicle....money troubles can really put a damper on things, this way....my girls can focus on having fun! My Bridesmaids are all my cousins/sisters/fsil...I wanted to do make this as painless for them as possible.
I looked on the internet and picked a few dresses that I liked then I researched which stores carried the dresses. I went to the store that carried most of the designers I was looking at and brought the girls. They tried on a ton of dresses and they all narrowed it down. Thank God they all liked the same one !
I did the same as some of the other girls. I checked out Davids Bridal online and then went with my MOH and tried on the different styles. We agreed on one and then made a day for the rest of my BM to try it on.... Good Luck and it will be a lot of fun!!!!

My Flowergirl dresses were $13. No brainer
Wow! I am jealous! I checked them out but they don't have much in the color and sizes that my girls would need. What would have been awesome.

Re: How did you pick your BM dress?
I chose David's Bridal since my girls live in different places. Then I chose the color I wanted and the girls chose which dress they wanted in that color/material. The girls had a few dresses to choose from and they are wearing two styles - all the same length. So it all started for me by choosing the store out of convenience.
