I picked a very close friend who I almost had as a bridesmaid but didn't bc the bridal party was getting too big. FH still hasn't decided on his person.

We are having a friend that was good but not close enough to be a BM, and FH's niece who I've never even met and was too young to be a BM, and we're using her bro's as ushers but not GM

I had 3 readers. One from the BP and two that were not part of the BP. I picked them because I considered them close. I wanted to include people who were not necessarily in the BP.

We used my cousin. DH and I love her to death but we're not close with her. Shes a very cool girl and I knew she would be beyond honored to do a reading for us -- she was! And I knew she'd do a kick azz job too-- she did!

We both chose a cousin from each side. We have 3 older first cousins... one each in our BP, one each doing a reading and the thirds will each sign our Ketubah.

we each picked one of our godparents. we thought it was only fitting that since they were part of our first sacrament of baptism that they have a special role at the sacrament of marriage. they did such a great job too, and we were so happy to have them there!
we also picked a third reader...BIL's long-time girlfriend. i considered asking her to be a BM, but i didnt feel like i knew her well back then (now i do, cuz i got to spend more time w her), so we asked her to be a reader. we def. wanted her part of the day too!

we picked cousins...i picked my only female cousins, and FH picked one of his cousins.
