<3Being that Peter and I absolutely love going up to Vermont, we had planned a weekend trip to go up for the fall foliage. We thought it would be a nice idea to invite our parents for a nice weekend getaway. Peter's parent's unfortunatley had prior engagements and could not come with us. We left on a Friday night and little did I know Saturday would be the most amazing day ever!!!!On our way into Burlington, we stopped at an amazing overlook looking over the Aplician mountians. This is a place that Peter and I had accidentaly found on one of our trips and have always gone back to. It was our little spot being that no one really knows about it and the views are breathtaking. After admiring the views ontop of the mountain we drove back down the mountain to the lake at the bottom of the overlook in between the mountains. Peter packed a surprise picnic and proposed. After all was said and done, and me being absolutely hysterical he told me to turn around and look up and it was then that I had noticed that my parents, sister and her boyfriend were still at the top of the mountain watching the whole proposal. After champagne and tears we enjoyed the rest of our day followed by a beautiful dinner at Fire and Ice resturant. It was the perfect proposal!!!
FH and I went to Vegas on July 14th, 2006 for a week. The night before we left for Vegas, FH had told me he had created a photo montage with a program on his new laptop. When we arrived to our villa, he told me he had brought the DVD he made and asked if I wanted to see it. We noticed there was a DVD player in the bedroom so we put it in. As I watched the different photo slides...they looked just like the other slideshows he has made for me. But he pointed out the different effects this program had. I kept watching...then we got to the last slide...which was a picture from last year's summer vacation...and on the bottom of the slide was the caption...MARRY ME???? I couldn't believe what I was reading...then I turned to him and he was standing by the left side of the bed with the ring box in his hand!!! Of course I started to cry...then I hugged and kissed him, put the ring on and he said to me you still haven't answered me...of course I said YES!!!!

In Paris on a bridge in front of the Eiffel Tower. We went for Vacay and on our anniversary (a day after Valentines Day he did it).

Jason had been hinting to me for a few weeks that we were gonna be going on a 'secret' weekend vacation, so of course I was dying in anticipation as to where it was we were going. Finally, it was the eve before we were going to be leaving on vacation...I come home from work, walk in the door, and one of my best friends and her boyfriend (who live in New Jersey) are sitting on my living room couch with Jason! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Of course I thought that they were my surprise but then Jason reassured me that we were still going 'somewhere' for vacation. The next morning, we woke up and headed out on the road. We ended up at the Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells where Jason had booked a 3 story, 5 bedroom log cabin on the water. It was beautiful! So the four of us started settling in when there was a knock at the door. It was two more of our close friends from Milwaukee. I was beyond excited! To make a long story a little shorter...Jason had all of our close friends from Milwaukee, 3 other couples, surprise me to spend the weekend with us in the Dells. Once everyone had arrived, Jason and I went to 'explore' down by the water at the back of the log cabin. That was where Jason got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I could not believe that this was happening...a moment in my life that I had always thought about and dreamed about was finally taking place and it was magical. I immediately burst into tears and finally got a 'yes' out. Thats when I heard clapping and cheering behind us. All of our friends who had driven out to spend this special day with us had made their way out onto the second floor balcony to witness the proposal. After that, we spent the rest of the weekend celebrating and just enjoying the company of some really great friends! It was a weekend that I hold very dear to my heart and I thank Jason a million times over for making it so special for me!

FH and I took a vacation in July 2006 to Disneyworld. On July 4th we went out to a very nice dinner. After the dinner we went to go to Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks show. FH was insisting we had to go by Cinderella's castle to watch the fireworks. We watched the show and when it was done FH proposed. It was perfect because he knows I love Disneyworld. I was so happy. I kept looking at it on the bus when we were heading back to the hotel while calling our families. They were all waiting for the call. It was funny.
Then the next day we saw another couple get engaged at Magic Kingdom. So cute.

i was never sure i wanted to get married, but early last year i finally realized that i really did want to be married to steve. i told him, and we decided that EVENTUALLY we would get married. i told him i hoped he would propose within about 2 years.
a few months later, we were getting ready to go out to dinner with my family. i was getting ready in the bathroom, and he called me into the bedroom. there was a scrapbook on the bed (i am soooooo into scrapbooking) and he told me it was from him and he had made it (which i didn't believe b/c he is so not into anything like that). i opened it and saw a pic of a ring in a box, and it said 'will you marry me?' honestly, i didn't get it. haha...i turned around to ask him what was going on and he was down on one knee, holding the box with the ring from the picture. i kept saying 'are you serious?' and then i said yes and jumped around screaming for about a half hour.

We had just got back from a cruise on December 10, 2006 and decided to keep Christmas gifts very light this year. Christmas morning at like 7:00AM he says..lets go open gifts..so under the tree we went. He had 2 gifts for me and a stuffed stocking. I opened the stocking and then the first gift...perfume...second...pair of earrings...I had just lost one at my xmas party like 5 days earlier...I was so excited...'thanks, babe'....He says..they're fake like 5 times and then out of no where says...'...but, these are real'...and opens a box in front of me! So shocking considering we've been dating for almost 13 years...I just figured we would be like goldie hawn and kurt russel and never get married. He didn't tell ANYONE that he bought the ring...big surprise for all...LOVED IT!!!!! Best day EVER!

our 5 yr anniversary we went out 2 a french restaurant in NYC. Where he gave me pearl earings, bracelet, & necklace. These all were wonderful but definitely put the idea of a proposal out of my mind. After dinner we went to rockerfeller center 2 see the tree. (my favorite place). We went on a tour in the rockerfeller building to a place called 'top of the rock' (its an elevator ride about 80 stories up). It leaves you on the top of the building with the most amazing NYC skyline view!! We were walking around enjoying the scenery and he kept insisting that we have our pic taken. We found the perfect spot in front of the empire state building. As he bent down I still had no clue...thinking he was intending for us both to bend down to incorporate teh buildings into the pic. so i look over and he has the ring!! Their we are both bending and it was the best ever!! of course i said yessss! the photographer was in much shock as I was. hahahaaa i walked the whole way back to the car w/ my hand out. (it was 20 degrees that night) Thanks to all for sharing your stories they are wonderful!

We were in beautiful Punta Cana for my birthday weekend and FH set up a romantic dinner on the beach. It was beautiful meal with our own private waiter and at at end of it all, FH got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The ring was beautiful but we couldn't see it clearly due to the darkness so we were holding it over the candle. The night was perfect, when we went back to our upgraded oceanview honeymoon suite ( they had rose petals put out all over the room, including the jacuzzi on the balcony! It was a beautiful night and the rest of the vacation was heaven.

Danny and I went to the city to see the tree at roc. centre. We took the subway to Carnegie Hall, and stopped in there to use their bathroom (I had just flown in from a conference in Rochester, and had to pee). I played at Carnegie Hall with my college orchestra two years ago, so when we went in there he asked 'Is this were your musical dreams came true?' I replied yes, but I was looking for the bathroom...so then he said 'Will you make my dreams come true?' and got down on 1 knee in the lobby of Carnegie Hall
Then yes we did eventually see the tree...just had to make a pitstop at carnegie :)

Chris (FH) and I went upstate the week between christmas and new years. His family came up on friday and we partied all weekend. New years eve we sat and watched the Jets game and just drank and did nothing all day. When it was about 15 min. to the ball dropping me and his mother got the champagne ready. I asked chris why he had sweat coming down his face. He blamed it on the New Years Hat he had on. Little did i know he had something in his pocket that he was waiting to give me. We started counting down. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 I went to hug and kiss chris happy new year but instead he grabbed my left hand and went down on one knee. He took out the ring started to slide it on my finger and said 'I love you with all my heart i want to spend the rest of my life with you. WILL YOU MARRY ME? I dropped down and my face turned red and my eyes filled up with tears. It was the greatest moment in my life.
this is actually a pretty funny story. we have been lookin for rings for a while and i was looking foir something small only because im really not the typical girl who loves jewelry. actually i think my ring is the only piece i know. so the whole time i basicly told him remeber george if you go out and get my ring keep it small. so he said fine. so we were out at the mall one day and were walking around. we must have passed like 3 stores but we were walking passed major jewelers and he insisted out of all the stores we passed that we go in there so he had me thinkin that somethin was up. so we looked at a million rings and couldnt find one that looked right on me. so he saw one and kjept sayin how do you like that one. gosh he must had said it to me about 10 times. it was a round stone with a twisted band and diamonds linking through the twist. i tried it on and fell in love with it. so he says to me good cause thats your ring. i said shut up george stop playing games. so he said im not kidding its your ring i paid for it about 2 weeks ago. i didnt know what to say. i got all red in the face due to the audience we had in the store. so he asked me to marry him and i said yes!!!!! he totally set me up

It was our 7 year anniversary and Mike planned a day in the city. We went to eat and then to a play. And after the play he asked if I wanted to go for a carriage ride through the park. Of course I said yes. I had been bugging him to go for awhile. So as we looked for parking we couldn't find any so I said to just go home. But he insisted on going. So we finally found a sopt and got on our carriage ride. as we were by the carousel he took a ring out of his pocket!!!! it was an engagment ring and he asked me right there!!! Of course I said YES!!!

In Bryant Park, at the same place we met in person for the first time. It was very sweet. It was right by the ice skating rink and the instrumental version of My Favorite Things was playing in the background. After he proposed, he pulled out a pack of tissues, the letter he wrote to my son telling him the news (my parents gave him the letter while FH was proposing) and a box of mementos that I kept from our relationship. We looked at all the cards, ticket stubs, etc. that I kept for the past 2 1/2 years.

We went to Minnesota for a weekend in september to have what I thought was a nice relaxing trip to visit my friends and family there for Labor day weekend. So I was not expecting anything.
Jon Surprised me by proposing to me on the 18th hole while golfing with my friend Tuan. He put it in the hole and once I putted my ball in and went to pick it up I saw a box. My initial thoughts were 'Cool, someone left something here.' So I go and pick the box out of the cup and opened up the box to see a ring in there. He then got down on one knee and proposed to me. I started crying... and said yes!
