How did your FH propose to you?

I didn't see a thread on this ( I can be wrong) but I am curious as to how your FH's proposed to you?

My FH did it like this-

It was New Year's Eve (this past December) and I went over to his place.. we were going to spend the night together and ring in the New Year just the two of us. It was going to be very romantic I walked into his apartment ( I had the keys..lol) and he was sitting at his computer. He saw me, said hello and then told me to come over to the computer and sit with him. I was thinking 'omg he's buying more crap for the house or buying tickets to some concert or event that I really may not want to see or go to'. I went over there, and looked at the computer screen. At the top of the page it said 'wedding guest list' and he started to type in his side of the family and his friends, also a starter list of my family and friends. I said 'What is this?' he goes 'What do you think it is?'. I swear my heart was pounding a mile a minute! He then got down on one knee and then asked me to marry him. (Of course since I'm posting here and making wedding plans I did say yes..lol).

Both our families get a huge kick out of the story on how he proposed.. I can't wait till we have kids so we can tell them the story.

As you all prob know my FH, Chris is in the Marine Corps and stationed in San Diego. Therefore, I knew he wouldn't be home for my 21st birthday (October 13th) which actually fell on a Friday this year. So I made plans with some friends to go into the city to celebrate, but they weren't definite plans. However, Chris kept asking what exactly I was doing for my birthday- and I kept telling him I had no definite plans but most likely would be going into the city. He was trying to persuade me to just have dinner with my family on my bday and stay local in town at the bars with some friends and then go out Saturday night (since he said my family would like that). I considered it but again- no definite plans.

So Thursday night (the night before my bday) I was getting ready to go to the bar with my brother and cousins since I was technically 21 at midnight. But my brother said we should wait until 1:00am. I hated this idea cause I was tired nad had work the next morning, but I waited. And at 12:30am there was a knock on my front door, I was like who the hell could be here at htis time. I open the door and there is CHRIS...he suprised me by coming home from Thursday nigth till the next Wed (I was so happy what a great present). But before we went out he was chatting with my dad for awhile- that was weird bec my dad is usually asleep by 11:30 the latest

So the next day after I got home from work...we went into the city fro dinner at Tavern on the Green. I never expected anything. However he was not really speaking in the car and that was weird and he didnt even really eat his steak- VERY WIERD...but at dinner there were flowers and a bottle of wine for my bday it was so sweet. Then after dinner the waiter comes over for dessert. I said I didnt want anything. SO about 5 minutes later the waiter walks over with like a cake platter and says who ordered dessert. And I just said 'Um we said we didnt want any' to my FH and the next thing there he was on his knee next to me and the cake platter with red and white rose petals with the ring sitting in the middle and he asked for my hand in marriage. The resturant was cheering and had champange it was great. However I had to ask him what he exactly said to me since he had a little speech cause I was just lookin at the ring crying... They even had their professional photographer take pics and frame them for us!!

Jason had been hinting to me for a few weeks that we were gonna be going on a 'secret' weekend vacation, so of course I was dying in anticipation as to where it was we were going. Finally, it was the eve before we were going to be leaving on vacation...I come home from work, walk in the door, and one of my best friends and her boyfriend (who live in New Jersey) are sitting on my living room couch with Jason! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Of course I thought that they were my surprise but then Jason reassured me that we were still going 'somewhere' for vacation.
The next morning, we woke up and headed out on the road. We ended up at the Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells where Jason had booked a 3 story, 5 bedroom log cabin on the water. It was beautiful! So the four of us started settling in when there was a knock at the door. It was two more of our close friends from Milwaukee. I was beyond excited! To make a long story a little shorter...Jason had all of our close friends from Milwaukee, 3 other couples, surprise me to spend the weekend with us in the Dells. Once everyone had arrived, Jason and I went to 'explore' down by the water at the back of the log cabin. That was where Jason got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I could not believe that this was happening...a moment in my life that I had always thought about and dreamed about was finally taking place and it was magical. I immediately burst into tears and finally got a 'yes' out. Thats when I heard clapping and cheering behind us. All of our friends who had driven out to spend this special day with us had made their way out onto the second floor balcony to witness the proposal.
After that, we spent the rest of the weekend celebrating and just enjoying the company of some really great friends! It was a weekend that I hold very dear to my heart and I thank Jason a million times over for making it so special for me!

It was this past Christmas Eve and we had dinner with his family. It was around 10pm and he said that he wanted to go stop by his friends house who lives in the town FH grew up in and just moved from last year. He kind of had to convince me to go because I just wanted to stay with his family but he got he to agree after some convincing. We got near his friends house and he turned down the wrong block and I said to him where are you going, his house is the other way. He pretended he made the wrong turn on accident, but two blocks later he pulls up to the high school that is down the block from his old house, which is where he asked me out 7 and a half years ago. He took my hand and led me to the bleachers which is where he had asked me to be his girlfriend. He set up a blanket because it was cold out and he had candles, champagne, and 'our song' amazed by lonestar playing in the background. He got down on one knee and said 'these past seven years have been amazing and I hope we can have a lifetime together that is just as amazing. Will you marry me?' Of course I was crying and I said yes and we had champagne and it was the most amazing moment of my life

We went down to Disney last March. The first day that we were there he wanted to go to the castle right away. As soon as we got in front of it I tunrned around and he was down on one knee with my ring!!

He had come over to pick me up for our date and as I was getting ready, he looked me over and told me I was wearing the wrong jewelry. He took my left hand, took off the rings i was wearing and got on one knee. He took the engagement ring out of his pocket and placed it on my finger, got down on one knee, told me that he couldn't picture the rest of his life without me. I mumbled a yes and started to cry.

On the way to the restaurant he said that he had originally wanted to propose in the restaurant but decided to propose in my bedroom because it was more intimate and he couldn't wait til later.

Michelle knew something was up because Brenton was chatting with her brother, whose friend's family was in the diamond business. The two had planned a Saturday get-away at Shenandoah National Park. Michelle wanted to surprise Brenton with his dream laptop when he proposed to her, which she thought might happen that Saturday. Since she knew it was coming soon, she rushed that Friday to the mall. Being a terrible liar Michelle worried that Brenton would catch her sneaking off to the mall. That Friday Brenton was also plotting a way to get her home from school right way. Michelle got a call from Brenton telling her to come home right away saying that she had mistakenly taken something that he needed for work. Michelle panicked that she would not have time to get to the mall to pick up the laptop and called her friend Beth and Erin freaking out. Erin helped Michelle come up with a better lie on why she would be late and Beth laughed saying that Brenton was probably up to something. Michelle ran through the mall grabbed the laptop and dropped it off at Erin's so that Brenton would not see it. When she got home Brenton popped the question with a giant ring- that is a giant ring pop. The big surprise was that Michelle would finally be able to go ring shopping, well pick out the diamond in NYC.

I've posted it a zillion times so I feel bad doing it again but basically he proposed to me in my classroom in front of my kids by giving me a Christmas ornament that said 'Will You Marry Me?' on it!!!!

Is it bad that I don't even remember what he said after he gave me the ornament?? I didn't even remember him getting on one knee !!! It was a total out of body experience and I couldn't have been happier!!!

It was Christmas Eve and we were getting ready to go to his sisters house for dinner. I was sorting the gifts that needed to go to his sisters that were under his tree. After I finished sorting the gifts I told him that I was going to put them in the car. He followed me outside to help me and kept mumbling that he couldnt beleive that his roommate was still home.


After I put the gifts in his car, I went to my car to get my jacket. As I went to walk back in the house, he stopped me and said that he wanted to give me one of my christmas presents before we went.

So I started to walk in the house but he stopped me , kissed me and told me that he loved me. Next thing I know, he was down on one knee with the ring in his hand and he asked me to marry him. I almost had a heart attack. I knew that he was going propose eventually but it came as a total surprise.

It later turned out that he kept mumbling about his roommate because he wanted to do it by his christmas tree with christmas music on. He had it planned that way for a few weeks. However, he couldnt do it there because his roommate hadnt left yet to go to his g/f's parents house and was in the next room wrapping presents.

He brought me back to the place we met. Said he had to do something and stopped me by the fountain, gave me that loving look and got down on one knee. It went by so fast!!!!

It was soooo cute. Being the wonderful shopper I am, the day before Christmas eve I had to go out and finish my Christmas shopping. I asked FH if he wanted to come with me but he said he would stay and clean our apartment (which we didn't even have for a month at this point) and he would even take care of dinner. Since I didn't want to clean and I still had to get his gift I thought this was a great idea! The shopping ends up taking me most of the day. When I got back he said that he had found some Christmas ornaments and asked me to hang them on the tree (because I wanted the tree a certain way because it was the first time I ever could) so I hang up a few but the last one is under tissue paper so I unwrap it, its a groom holding a bride and on it said 'will you marry me' I turned around and he was on one knee holding the ring and he asked me. We were in each others arms for a half hour, I couldnt let go!!!
