How did you/will you deal with wedding nerves/anxiety?

How did you/will you deal with wedding nerves/anxiety?

I'm just looking for advice for the day of.. I know I'm gonna be sick to stomach nervous, as I always get.. What did you/will you do to stay focused on being excited rather than so nervous? I'm jealous of people that are so excited and can't wait until their wedding, when I'm a nervous wreck! Does anyone else feel this way? Thanks!

The day of the wedding i was at my calmest, the 2 weeks before were hectic with getting everything done lol. But day of you have nothing to do but get married and party lol. You have someone doing your hair and make up, you have an outfit picked out you have somebody driving you everywhere and everybody making sure you are fine and things going well for you. Honestly, i was just real excited the day of, i woke up so happy, well i also screamed when i woke up saying 'WOO HOO NO MORE TO DO LISTS' i couldnt wait for that moment lol. At the church i thought i'd be nervous but i was extremely excited and so happy. The whole day is just a lot of fun but also does go by very fast, you wont even have time to worry about things.

this is awesome and puts things in persepective! so true- everyone is doing everything for us- WE FINALLY GET TO RELAX AND ENJOY all the hard work we put into it. Thanks for the reminder

You're welcome after all the planning we've all done its well deserved lol. That day you dont even have to get up for a drink or food, everything is brought to you lol. Even when i walked around RH, my bridal attendant wouldnt let me take a step without him holding my dress There is so much build up before the wedding and always wondering how it will go, that when its finally there, its like oh ok this is what ive been waiting for all along, no need for the anxiety anymore so the day is here

Espo...you are totally right. I'll prob have OCD up until the night before. Hope I don't though. Stress for me = blemish in the morning. I plan to spend the night before with my girls in a hotel room having girl talk and they are AMAZING chicas. They'll make sure everything is done the way or want/need it to be. They will make me relax...

I had a glass of wine and that really helped. However when it was time to walk down the isle I lost it. So I recommend wine. Of course one glass, not a bottle

I'm pretty nervous too. I keep imagining that I pass out or something at the altar. But that's just how I am. I like to imagine horrible things... how morbid?

I ended up getting a haircut a week before my wedding and that calmed my nerves

I am a huge worry wart myself and I hate being the center of attention in this kind of way. I like attention, just not everyone staring at me. I plan on having a mimosa that morning or half a xanax.
