Get my dog to now sleep in her cage in the kitchen. We used to have her sleep in her cage in our room because we used to have a roommate. Now our room mate is gone and we want her to sleep in her cage in the kitchen. She is not coping with this very well. I know this is a silly post but i need to know if there is anything i can do besides bring her back into our room. I love her to pieces that is why i am now out of bed with her asleep at my feet. I know she has trained me not the other way around. I can't help it she just to darn cute.

it is hard to change a habit. The best thing I can think of is positive reinforcement. Give her a cookie for going into the cage & ignore her if she has any negative behaviour in the cage.

She finally fell asleep at 3:00 this morning. I sat with her until she fell asleep and then i had to tip toe into my room and bingo, she slept until 8:30 this morning. I am hoping for a better night tonight.
