HOW DO I GET MY PUP TO STOP BARKING??

We got him neutered and they said it would calm him down!! Now, his new thing is in the middle of the night, if he wakes up, he barks until me or FH wake up and thinks it is play time!! How do I stop this????

i think it depends on the dog really. All I have to do is shake a can and mine stops barking on command. He knows now when I pull out the can he stops i dont have to shke it anymore. Good Luck I know it takes a while and alot of missed z's.

I have heard such great things about him. We're going to get his book/DVD.

We have an 11 month old shi tzu and he has some bad habits, so hopefully this will help him.

What is the book called? He has gotten better, but still has some bad habits. He is a Pekingnese, 1 year old. I got sooo mad the other day, I bought a brand new dress for a wedding we have to attend next month & he chewed off the beading on the front of the dress. FH brought the beads to the dry cleaner and THANK GOD they can sew them back on!! I NEED THIS BOOK!!

I can totally vouch for the Dog Whisperer! We didn't get the book but we tivo's the shows, and he is amazing!

Any issue we had with Charie has been resolved by one of those episodes.

what a cute dog! we control our pom's barking with a water bottle. so now as soon as we pick it up she stops. i don't think shes very quiet when we aren't home though, but that we cannot help lol sorry neighbors. i tried a citrinella collar on here, but it didnt work bc it couldnt detect her barks (either her pitch is too high or too much fur in the way) and it wasn't consistant. try the water bottles, 99cents at walmart.
