she and her bf of 7 years broke up on saturday (he was cheating) and she's totally down.
i want to do something fun, but i can't get her out of the house. i don't want her to be out meeting new guys yet bc i dont think she's ready for that AT ALL, but i just want her to be able to go out and have fun.
any suggestions on what we can do? we live together in huntington.

Re: how do i help
How about just having a nice night in with her? Maybe order in some food from her favorite place, put in one of her favorite movies (a comedy is probably the best way), or maybe some cute animated movie, and have a girls night in.

I’m sorry to hear that some men are such pigs!!
Wine always seems to help with a broken heart
Take her out for dinner and drinks, then maybe see a movie afterwards.

something similar happened to one of my friends.. it was very hard to get her out so we stayed in with some comedies.. and then when she did feel up to going out, we did stuff that we liked to do as kids. We ended up having pizza and going bowling. Hope she starts to feel better soon!

this happened to my sister. i think a fun activity to get her mind out of it is nice. i mentioned hiking and rock climbing for her and she was all up for it and was esp excited for the rock climbing. i hope your sister gets through this

Re: how do i help
Many years ago I my relationship of 7 years ended. I wouldn't push her to go out if she doesn't want to. I would suggest just going over to her house and sitting with her. Listening is important. Just be there and be patient. Best for her not to be alone. She probably feels like her world and future is over. But, in time she'll be ok.
