How do I make this card box?

Hi girls.

I bought a white mailbox today and now I need to decorate it for our card box at the reception.

I got blue ribbon to put on it, but I am wondering how do I put our name on it? Do you think I should use paint or a marker? Should I use a stencil? I have photos of ones I have seen, but I can't tell how they wrote on them!

Please HELP if you have any ideas!

you could use a stencil with either paint or marker.

I think the easiest would be to find stickers with the font of letters you would like. and draw a pencil line that can be erased to line the letter up on.

i'd use stencils so that it looks more even than reg handwriting...

Try using rub on lettering for scrapbooking...pretty sure they have it at Michaels & AC Moore

my sister in law had this, it was beautiful, they had letters hand painted on with a floral design.

I wasn't going to do a card box..but this is just soooo nice and can be used after the wedding as a mailbox, or a bill holder!!

I ordered the mailbox from Wal-Mart.com. It was only $13.88!!! They do not carry it in store, only online.

I think Im going to do this..I'm going on walmart.com now.lol..

After the wedding I will use it as a mail/bill holder on the desk where the computer is.. that's where i pay all the bills...this is SOOO cute!!!

It looks GREAT... how did you do the letters? I was going to do my letters just in Black...should I use my wedding color (terracotta) ??

I painted the cut out part of the stencils I got and painted them with acrylic paint. Then I used E 6000 glue to put them on the mailbox.

That came out very nice. Just be careful that you keep in next to your table. You do not want anyone being able to stick their hands in there and taking any of your envelopes. You know everyone you invite but you may not know their guests and also the staff at your rh.
