How do I marinate?

OK - I know this is a dumb question but how do I marinate chicken? Do I pour the sauce in a bowl and put the chicken in so it is covered in sauce?

Help!

Re: How do I marinate?

Make some cuts in the chicken so the marinate can seap in. Then put the chicken and marinate in a bowl. I usually make sure it is completely covered. The longer you marinate the better the taste!

You can also marinate in ziploc bags

Re: How do I marinate?

I do one of 2 ways. If I'm doing it on a bowl I'll put the some sauce on the bottom, lay the chicken in and then pour sauce on top. Then I'll flip them over.

Or I'll do the ziploc bag trick so it gets marinated on both sides.
