How do I pick a dress???

I have tried on 15+ dresses (to me that's a lot) and narrowed it down to a few but I can only wear on on wedding day. I'm about 6 months out so I know I need to get moving but all of the designers I'm looking at have fast turnarounds so I'm not too worried.

I really like a few dresses but they are all so different and I can honestly see myself on my wedding day in any of them. However, I haven't felt 'OMG THIS IS THE DRESS' in any one of them. Everyone says, 'go with your heart' but what does that even mean?!? And no, I'm not daydreaming about any of them. I day dream about the wedding, but not the dress And yes, they are all within my budget and within a few hundred dollars of each other.

I've always seen myself in a ball gown dress but for the last few years I've also fallen in love with a mermaid style dress. I knew what two gowns I wanted and when I tried them on.. Of course I loved both of them. I couldn't make a decision and I bought both. Sometimes is hard to commit but if you haven't found a dress that doesn't have you daydreaming...it's not the one.

I went back and forth with 2 dresses about 4 times. I finally decided on the one that made me feel like a bride. I felt pretty in both but I only felt like a BRIDE in 1.

I would try on just those dresses again and then take a pic in each (if you haven't already) .
I found it easier to be more subjective looking at photos.

I probably tried on a million dresses like you. I narrowed down to three I liked the best and was freaking out that they weren't giving me that feeling. So I decided to try on those three one more time. I actually got appts to try them all on the same day 10, 12, and 2 o clock lol. The first two didn't give me that feeling so I was getting nervous for the last one. Cause if it didn't give me that feeling then I was afraid I'd start all over again. Then when I tried on the last one again the second it was on me (it wasn't even zipped up yet) I just knew that it was it and totally got that feeling. It didn't give me that feeling the first time but I guess I just needed to see it again. When I had seen it the first time i was still unsure of what I wanted and it was opposite of what I originally wanted. So I guess I just needed to see it one more time! But yes I think you'll just know :)

I definitely agree that seeing yourself in pics is the way to go. I thought I loved one dress when I was in it and then saw the pics and thought NO WAY!

Thanks ladies. I probably should have mentioned that my 'dream' dress was what I wore for my first wedding so dress shopping this time around was harder. I LOVE all lace dresses (like my first) but I was trying to stay away from all lace. In the end, I purchased a dress over the weekend that I had tried on before--it was the right price, etc. I'm happy with it, not 'over the moon' excited about it, but happy. Thanks for all your input!

How do I pick a dress???

I had a Casablanca gown that was the 'gown to beat' and for a couple weeks I kept going back and forth between the Casablanca gown and a Maggie Sottero gown, always leaning toward the Casablanca but still holding out to see if I would find out I liked one better. Well, I did find one I liked better, a Mori Lee, and I just *knew* it was the one because after a few days I completely stopped thinking about the Casablanca and couldn't stop thinking about the Mori Lee. And I didn't want to find another gown to try and top it. So yeah, I think when it's the one you just know =)
