HOW DO I STOP BITTING MY NAILS???

Please I need help. It's gotten so bad...

Ps..I had tips and I just can't handle or afford the maintanance of them.
And, I can't use that bitter nail polish stuff. I've tried it and it's terrible..

HELP!!!!!!!!!

there are two things I would suggest.
1 - chew gum
2 - get the cheap nails from the drug store. I know this sounds tacky but it might work and do them yourself.

I used to bite my nails so badly, 'down to my elbows' my mother would joke.

To get myself to stop, I would get tips... I found someone who did it out of her home and only charged $10 for the fill-in. I had them filled in every other week. Then after about 8 months, I tried going without and have stopped since.

Lately I have been painting my nails. And that has stopped me. Mind you it's only been 2 weeks or so.
