FH and I didn’t register anywhere because we had a housewarming a few years ago and basically have everything we need. Plus, we’ll be traveling from NY back to IL and didn’t wanna have to carry or mail gifts back. Some people who can’t make the wedding are asking us where we’re registered…and I am not sure how to answer!
FH says to tell them we're registered at the bank.

i dont think you need to say anything. You would only need to tell them if you were registered somewhere. Even if they took it upon themselves to search for your registry they would see that you arent registered anywhere.

Someone who RSVP'd 'No' sent me an email to ask where we're registered. I am not sure how to tell her we're not. I thought we had made it obvious by not listing it anywhere on our invites and website and stuff. I was hoping they would notice lol

i would just say, 'we got all the basics from our housewarming party a few years ago so we decided not to register anywhere to avoid people spending money on things we already have!'
i think if you say that, most people will just give you cash, or if they want to give you something they'll give you crystal or something like that

oh i see. I would just say flat out that you decided against a registry because you already have all your household items, and stuff.

DH's aunt used to tell people we were registered at the cash store.
I would just be honest and if anyone asks say you decided not to register because you have everything you need and dont want people wasting their money on something you dont need.
