HOW do I word my invitations???

HOW do I word my invitations???

Not really sure how to word my wedding invitations. My fiances mother and father never married, but now she is married to another man. So, basically they both have different names. I would like both my parents and his parents name to appear on the invitation but I don't want any confusion to arise, as to what my new name will be. How exactly will I word these invitations?

In addition:
My fiance does NOT want his real fathers name to appear on the invitation. Only his step-father and his mother's name are to appear? That is what I forgot to mention??? So then how would it be worded????

Hmmm. That changes things. Depends on the relationship your fiance has with his step-dad but this may work

Mr. and Mrs. Essense77
Mr. and Mrs. XXX
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their children
essense77
to
fiance
on date
Two thousand and five
time
location

I agree with Kdrainey, the first or second option.

Just change the first to be Mr. and Mrs. Mom and Stepdad

Re: HOW do I word my invitations???

But doesn't that create confusion as to what my new last name will be????

Mr. and Mrs. Petters
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their children
Myrna Petters
to
Cavel Smith
on July 23
Two thousand and five
time
location

But the last names would not be added to mine and his names. What do I do???

What about this way, similar to KD first suggestion

Mr. and Mrs. Petters
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Myrna Petters
to
Cavel Smith
son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
on July 23
Two thousand and five
time
location

I'm not sure what you mean.

If he has a different last name than his mother and stepfather, do you want it on the invitation?
