How do leaves/petals float? Repost from BHB

FH is worried that the silk leaves we have to throw after the ceremony will only fly up (ie in the face of the thrower) and not sprinkle over us the way rice would.

Anyone who has done this (or been at a wedding where it was done) please weigh in!! Do petals work better than leaves?

Also what's the best way to distribute the leaves/petals???
Do 'cones' help propel them? I was thinking of just having the BMs pass baskets with the leaves/petal for guests to grab, but I'm not sure how that will work.

TIA!!!

They definitely float for a little bit before falling. We used real rose petals (some pics in my review...) but I know azoodie used freeze dried petals and also had a lot of air time. Leaves or silk flowers shouldn't be any different. I do think that the cones help...that's what we used. HTH!

Yes definitely get the freeze dried ones. Azad's petals were in the air for a long time and was able to get lots of great shots.
