FIL surprised me and purchased mine - prob is - doesn't fit well with my ring and i really don't want to hurt anyone's feelings because it is a beautiful ring and i'm grateful but i really wanted to wear my rings together. my e-ring was a surprise too...

nope - i mean they just picked one for me and i was looking forward to us going together and picking ours together

I would be pretty annoyed. It's your wedding band, you need to pick something you want to wear the rest of your life, not what someone else thinks is nice.

I also agree. FH picked a gorgeous engagement ring, but we are doing the wedding bands together, I want to make sure they both fit well together. Also the way he designed my ring its a little difficult to find something that will sit correctly with the band.
