How and when do we ask the bridal party??

I think you can do pretty much whatever you want-

We are only having BM and MOH- FH just asked his brother casually, and I sent my cousin roses with a card.

we wanted to wait to our e party but since we dont know if we will be having one we stated asking them as we have been seeing them

I made cards for the bridesmaids and couple with little tux's and bridesmaid dresses that say will you be...

and FH ill ask his single groomsmen on his own.

I made cards too. They were so cute! Fh asked/ is asking his friends when he sees them. I think if you're certain on who you want to have you can ask them no...if you're unsure wait until the date comes closer.

For the bridesmaids and flower girls I made little periwinkle cards with little bridesmaid/flower girl dresses and snowflakes and wrote them each an individual note, they thought it was really sweet and i had fun doing it - one of my girls is really into scrapbooking and that was the main reason I did it that way. The groomsmen was FH job - he still didn't get around to asking some of them yet because he wanted to wait until it was closer to the actual wedding date - I couldn't wait though

I asked the girls right after we were engaged. I just asked them, no cards.

I had fortune cookies custom made to read 'Will you be my bridesmaid and meet me at the end of the aisle? Love, Grace'

I took them out to lunch/dinner and casually gave them a fortune cookie to try.

I also wrote them cards. The outside had a picture of a dress and read something like, 'Will you be my bridemaid? I promise not to make you wear an ugly dress.'

I just asked. I knew who I wanted right away, I have 3 BM who are my closest friends, and MOH who is like a second mom to me.

I made 'will you be ...' cards for my MOH, BM's & FG...I gave them out in June 04...FH still has to ask the GM

I asked everyone about 3 months after being engaged. FI just asked the last guy a couple of weeks ago. Since they are getting fitted for their dresses May 28, I couldn't really push it.

I asked right away...week ot two later, I knew...bu FH still hasnt asked anyone but his brother to be BM... one of my friends is going to be a groomsman and I am dying to ask him, but i am waiting for FH to get with it..he says dont worry we have time! UHHH

We've been doing it different ways. My bro was looking at a Things Remembered catalog that I had and my FI asked him to pick out the things he liked. Lol, my mom slipped up and mentioned it to my other bro b4 my FI got a chance to ask him. I asked one BM when I saw her, I asked my MOH over the phone bc we couldn't settle on a soon enough day to get together. I have to see my other BMs to ask them, but I might just ask them in a letter since we never see each other.

ETS: And my FI still has to ask his best man and other 2 groomsmen!

I bought cards from Advantage Bridal that said will you be my Maid of Honor; Bridesmaid. They even had Flowergirl ones.

They were really cute

I asked all three of my girls pretty quick -
I asked my sister right after I told her that we were engaged

My one girlfriend I was playing around with her and told her that she had no choice what she wore to my wedding cause I was picking our her dress and she just looked at me ....So I told her how could I have this special day and not have you standing there with me! and she cried

And My 3rd girl ....I had to ask her over the phone ...Because I wanted her to come to our E-Party I wanted her to know she lives in GA so I called her and asked she was also thrilled

I think that no matter when or how people are touched that you want to make them a part of your big day!
