How do we tell people our Wedding is smaller?

How do we tell people our Wedding is smaller?

After our whole drama we are now wondering how in the heck do we uninvite people?!
We didn't send out our invites however we did send out STDs over a year ago when we were going to have 100 plus people. Now that our wedding is only 75 guests how do you pass the word that you are only having a SMALL FAMILY WEDDING and no longer a BIG WEDDING????
I am sure some folks will be upset but we have NO choice at this point. What do we do???Any opinions are welcome and very much appreciated!!

I would start spreading the word now. Do most people on your guest list know the health issues you've had this past year. If so, they will understand. If not fill them in a little and again they should understand.

You can say you appreciate their support but due to hardships you have had no other choice but to cut back and have to stick to immediate family only. You are sorry and hope they understand.

Honestly, who could argue with that.... hang in there hun!

if it is what you guaranteed then i would go ahead an inviite 100 people, if not, i guess your only option is to just flat out tell them the truth, there is no getting around this one, people are going to be upset and probably offended and rightfully so, you cant blame them ya know

75 is our minimum and honestly it's what we can afford

Tell them you're sorry but due to budget constraints, you can only invite family to the wedding.

then you need to invite that 100.... you are going to get No's for sure... if you dont invite them you wont make your minimum most likely!

we invited oot that we knew would say no
but we had a view that did surprise us. some where due to health issues a few others had plans that day. some came solo because their better halfs had to work. oh and single people we invited with a guest decided not to bring a date
