I use a little red jar of jewelry cleaner. Connosuers (sp?) is the name. I got it at Bed, Bath & Beyond for like $4.

Ammonia + Water = windex.

I use windex.

I soak it in a tiny dish of windex for 20 minutes or so and then srub it with a soft toothbrush. My mom has been doing this to her ring once a week for over 40 years and it still looks new!

I do this too. Once in a while I will use tooth paste and a small soft brush.

That's what I was going to say!!!

My favorite windex for the task is actually the green windex (for grease / multi kitchen surfaces)

I keep the toothbrush by the kitchen sink (which for safety purposes, always has a mesh drain cover ) and I give it a quick brushing about 2X a week.

Looks like new!
