Hmm...how many guest do you plan on inviting after the RSVP date? If its not many then send them the invite as it is and call em up a few dys later and apologize about the date and just let them know that you would relaly like for them to be there. Just a thought. Why didnt you send them the invite earlier?

I don't think there's a 'correct' way of doing it without them knowing they're on the B or C list. The only way I can think of is to have new response cards printed with a later date.
