how do you ask...UPDATED

for a raise??

has anyone done this b4?? i really want to - but never quite feel prepared enough to ask .

what do i need to know? any strategy??


so i emailed my boss and asked to meet with her for a review of my current job responsibilities and my performance. she told me to set it up for next week.

When was the last time you got a raise? You could take that approach, if it's been awhile.

You could also remind them that you're getting married and with the prices of everything going up you're afraid you and your FH might have to move out of NY bc you can't afford to live here.

Also, if need be, remind them of anything oustanding that you've done recently. Put yourself into a great light.
