I would stick a comb right in front of the ponytail...

Thats what I'd like, but was advised against it because it will pull on the hairstyle. This is the effect I want to get with the veil, but I dont it will work with the hairstyle.

I stuck mine in right in front of my hairstyle and I pulled it out for my reception and it was just fine...here's what it looked like:

so you want it a little 'behind' the style? What are they using to 'build up' your hair? that poof back there had to come from somewhere. What of they put a banana back there (remember the thing I told you about I had?)

It came out fine. I would practice when you have a hair trial. if you hold down the hair in front of and behind the comb and pull gently, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Make sure you tell your stylist that you want to take it out so that she doesn't cement it in there! And bring bobby and/or hair pins with you in case of any loose strands...

This is how plan on wearing my hair. The veil and tiara in front of the pony tail. Although, I plan on wearing my veil all night. It's the only day I can do it and get away with it.

I think the plan was to have it placed behind the ponytail with the stick. But now Im rethinking the whole thing. I think it would look really nice at the base of the ponytail. I'll email Jenn today and see what she recommends. Thanks for the ideas ladies!

I picked that style originally, i loved it, but when i went for my trial, the lady who did my hair said there was no where to put the veil except in the front of the hair, and i didnt like it, It kinda reminded me of priscilla presley a little lol. so i picked a different hair style.

yep, but maybe a stick instead of a comb, so it doesnt pull your hair when u want to remove it?

Another option is loops. Mine came with a comb, but I brought it to Barrons & they removed the comb & added an edging that had loops & the hairstylsit put hairpins in the loops. She showed my mom how to take them out without messing up the 'pouf' in front of my 'do.

I ended up leaving my veil on though.
