Do you actually go there and check things out... or just take people's recommendations that it's a good company and do it over the phone?

Re: how do you book limos
In my opinion, you should ALWAYS meet with all of your vendors FACE to FACE. Taking people's word for things is never a good idea ....
There isn't a single vendor we used for our wedding that we didn't meet with before booking them.

yeah i would make some appointments and go to their show rooms. We are using Royalty, they get pretty good reviews on here. I'll know how good they are in less than two weeks!

Thanks. I do agree with seeing them in person... we just hit a wall with being motivated to go from place to place! We commute to Manhattan so the weekends are all we have to plan the wedding and enjoy life. For some reason, we have no motivation to check out limos, but we have to.
How many limo companies do you recommend we see before we book??

Re: how do you book limos
Definitely go face to face. I knew that I wanted to use Royalty cause they were close by for me, and I knew a ton of people who used them and loved them. So I only ever met with one.
Maybe try to schedule 2-3 appts for various limo companies for one day. I find that sometimes it is easier to keep my choices down to a few. If you try to go around to every single limo company out there to find the best price, you might drive yourself crazy. So maybe look online for a few limo places most nearby and make some appts. And after meeting with them, see if there is one that you felt was good enough. If you really hated them all, then expand your search more.

Most limo companies have showcases once a week where you can go see the cars and meet with someone there for more info.

I made appointments, looked at the cars I wanted and dealt with the sales person. I was turned off by one place and went with another b/c I didnt feel the 'sales tactic'

We booked our limos at a showcase and they offer great discounts if you book on the spot. We went with Royalty.

You make an appt to go check them out and their fleet of cars. I personally like to do business face to face.
