How do you book this?

I want a string trio for ceremony and cocktail hour, so do I have to make appointments to listen to string trios? Or do I go to showcases? Or do I just find the best price and book it? I have no clue, but this needs to get done. Thanks!

Re: How do you book this?

look on the vendor board, I know Stan Weist has these, he is very nice to talk to on the phone, and I think his prices are reasonable, he has a good reputation. good luck! (he also responds to his emails and phone calls right away)

Re: How do you book this?

I am using Stan Weist. I wanted Canon in D played at the ceremony so he suggested what instruments I would need. Then he just mailed me a contract and a tape to listen to and choose other music. Its very simple.

Re: How do you book this?

I went to the Wedding services and looked under ceremony music...

I only got demos from the 2 companies I called...Peter something and Encore Music...both sounded fine on their demos, but you really don't know who will be playing at your wedding...

I chose Encore b/c they were a little less expensive...and it turned out wonderful!! My DH's mother and uncle were professional musicians and they sat next to them at the cocktail hour and raved about how great they were...and Dh's uncle is VERY critical...

also it turned out that one of the musicians was a music teacher at my moms old school...
