You can leave the basket in the room. I'm in the garden room, so I will probably put mine in the library. I think someone else suggested leaving the basket by the DJ.

I've heard of people who leave it my the DJ as opposed to the entry or the ladies room. That should work.

I am having wait-staff walk around with the baskets. It may not be a bad idea in your case!

Definitely put it in front of the DJ and have him make an announcement in the beginning.

Keep it in the Garden Room with you...next to the DJ and have him make an announcement. It works a lot better IMO. The day of our wedding even though the Garden Room & Library Room was ours it's a very strange spot in there. There was a CH going on earlier and the room didn't look like it usually does. That room was mostly utilized by our vendors and just to get to the bar.
Plus...you want it right next to the dance floor anyway...

At Backinneyork's wedding, she was the only bride at Bourne, but she had the staff bring out the slippers and put them near the dance floor. I thought it was a really great idea! It looked really cool also because the staff came out in two rows and put the baskets out ![]()
