On my computer I have a toolbar on the top of the screen and History is an option. I click on that and on the bottom of the list is 'Clear History' and I click on that.

If you are using IE, click tools on the top of the IE pane. Select INTERNET OPTIONS. Then DELETE COOKIES, DELETE FILES Iinclude offline) and CLEAR HISTORY.
If you are automatically logged into any websites, you will have to manually log in again upon return.

You can go to Tools from the top toolbar (next to File, Edit, etc), select Internet Options. You really should not only do the Clear History on the bottom, but also click on 'Clear Files' under Temporary Internet Files, then also check the 'Delete all offline content' before clicking OK. It might take awhile if you haven't cleaned it before.
To be even more safe, also click on Delete Cookies after you finish clearing everything else.
