How do you get those gross armpit stains out of white t-shirts?
Any tips on this? I feel like just throwing all of FH's shirts out. Is there a trick to this or is it unavoidable?

they sell a product called 'YELLOW OUT' in the super market. It's a powder. Whe you do laundry you add it to the water and let the shirts soak in the solution for 5 minutes. Then add your regular soap and wash normally.
Otherwise to prevent it, I use a TON of bleach on white clothes. It's deoderant stains.

Thanks I will try that!
I use Tide w/ bleach and add oxyclean now and it seems to fade them a little.

Found some info on it ...
Laundry additive and booster designed for use with regular detergent. Removes yellowing rust stains and color runs from white washable fabrics. Tough on stains and easy on fabric. Better and safer than bleach

Ugh! I don't know what kind of toxic waste comes out of FH's armpits, but we were going through some of his shirts the other day to throw some out, and some had black pit stains! Granted they were color shirts, but still...

BTW...smokers will produce more pit stains than non-smokers.
silly little fact, I know.
I also use the Oxy Clean & it works ok. I def want to try that Yellow out.

Wow, these are all good things to look into. But, honestly, I just throw them in the garbage and buy him new ones. He likes the Hane's tagless V-neck. When they're on sale, I stock up for him. At first he gets mad at me for throwing them out, but then he's happy when he has brand new ones !
