a 3 color cookie wedding cake? FH and I are really not cake fans and we are not really fans of WMs wedding cake. We are both huge 3 color cookie people, but is the cost worth it? Should we just **** up that the cake isn't up to par? Do guest even eat the cake? I am confused about what to do what are some other options?

I've been to 4 weddings in the last 2 years, and I don't remember eating cake at any of them! (Well I don't remember much at all from one of them ). I think that if you don't like the cake thats offered there are definitely other options. No one says you have to have a cake, unless you really have your heart set on cake cutting. My sister did individual little wedding cakes for hers, or you could do trays of three color cookies if thats what you really love! I've also seen cupcake towers as well, which I think is cute.

Are you talking about rainbow cookie? I know a lot of people like it but I hate it and wouldn't eat it... At weddings, I always try the cake because I love cake, but most of the time it s u c k s lol
You could consider taking the cake from your RH then get a smaller one made for you and FH that you cut.. It would probably save you a lot of money.. Or maybe, get a grooms cake made out of rainbow cookie cake, then you could serve both cakes.

I love rainbow cookies!!!! IMO no one really eats the wedding cake. I know at our e-party we each had a bite of the cake and that was it, that's why we are just getting the cake that comes with the hall. But if you think your guests will really appreciate a cookie cake then go for it! If not - just get a box of them for your table.

I adooooree rainbow cookies. I always pick all of them out when my mom gets cookie baskets around christmas
I think it'd be fun and different. Of course with anything non-traditional, someone's going to say something but who cares.

That said, Fha nd I wanted to do this, but I also don't want my cake to be chocolate and I don't know how you make a rainbow cookied cake without making the outside chocolate. It'll taste weird with frosting and it'll lok stupid with chocolate.
THAT said, maybe you can do ONE layer rainbow cookied cake to keep costs down and then do the other layers regular flavors?? Trust me, there are people like me who will appreciate the cake.

I always eat the cake, but I'm a fatty. Even if it's crappy cake, it's still cake to me.
If it's important to you, definitely upgrade to the rainbow cookie cake. That's something I would remember from a wedding.
I saw a rainbow cookie cake at Dortoni's when we went for our tasting and told DH to go back and get it for me for my birthday.

I am personally not a fan of Rainbow cookies (I am like the worst italian ever LOL) but I say go for it if it's something the two of you really enjoy. I know lots of people like Rainbow cookies and it will be a cool surprise for your guests to see it.

We go to Alpine bakery and FH loves the rainbow cookies there that are covered in a white frosting glaze. You should look into this, if you don't want the chocolate on the outside!!!!! They are amazing!!!!!!!!! My Mom suggested to use the cake they give us, then just have a sheet of the 3 color cookie cake in the back and cut that up and serve it to guests. I called alpine though and it would be $375-450 for just the sheet cake of it!!!!!!!!!! That is really a lot of beans!!!!!!!!!!

Is that for a whole sheet? Cause maybe you don't need that much.
The groom's cake is a good idea as well, then you can make that small and to hell with other peole who don't get it
WM won't give you a credit if you don't use their cake? Or sub it with something else and you can purchase your wedding cake elsewhere? (and THEN make like, the top tier rainbow cookie from Alpine?)

when I got married at WM years ago, I only wanted a chocolate cake w hazelnut filling. they said they didn't offer it and I said find a way and make it happen. I'm not bending. They did it.
and Im a huge cake person. i always eat the cake lol.

Ren, we love it beyond words lol. They make a mini cake for like 10 bucks too.. Try it for yourself! They won't let you down. Lol- I don't mess around!!!
