How do you girls feel about..........

a 3 color cookie wedding cake? FH and I are really not cake fans and we are not really fans of WMs wedding cake. We are both huge 3 color cookie people, but is the cost worth it? Should we just **** up that the cake isn't up to par? Do guest even eat the cake? I am confused about what to do what are some other options?

I would've loved to have done it, but we also did a VH so I didn't think it was worth it to have an upgraded cake.

i actually had a rainbow cookie cake and it was amazing!!! and im not even a big fan of the rainbow cookies!

Soooo.. WM gets their cakes from Erga bakery in Bethpage. FH and I went for a tasting a few weeks ago. HOWEVER Erga bakery is being/was just sold to new owners

What does this mean for us WM brides? I'm not sure. I will ask at my menu meeting next month. Until then, I'm not stressing it cuz nobody eats the cake anyway. Lol. Its nice to look at, if ur someone who pays attn to details, otherwise, nobody cares!

I LOVEEEEEE rainbow cookie cake!!!!!! it is the best thing ever! I would do it but FH doesn't like them

We are doing a Rainbow Cookie Cake! FH and I both love it.. and our bakery does an awesome job with them!!

Then on our Viennese table, instead of rainbow cookies, we'll do small little pieces of cake to appease those who don't like rainbow cookies..

As a recent WM bride, I have to tell you a few things:
1. The cake looked and tasted amazing!
2. If you haven't already chosen the dessert option, get the Heart of Sorrento! My guests haven't stopped talking about this. It was delish!
3. We didn't do the VH, but when the cordial bar was rolled out it had trays of cookies and pasteries on it. The cake did not come out until well after the dessert and cordial bar. That being said, I don't think my guests even cared what the cake looked or tasted like because they were so full from all the other dessert.

IMO, save your money!

I am not a fan of the WM cakes either. I've tried it at the showcases and we even went for a tasting at Egra bakery and was not impressed at all. We thought about upgrading the cake thinking maybe it would be better quality but decided against it. They have a red velvet and cheesecake filling that was actually pretty good. Its not one of the cakes you get with your wedding but we were doing individual cake boxes at each place setting anyway. So we ordered a sheet cake of that from them. I could care less about the actual wedding cake

I think the rainbow cookie idea is great or you can get your own cake brought it. I think they will give you like a free upgrade or something
