Please help me...I am beside myself about having to go back to work in 2 weeks. I cry every night. I know I have to financially...we just bout a house and all. Still, I feel like this is sooo terrible and I don't want the day to come. I went in today w/the baby to try and get my schedule and make myself feel better about it, but I don't!! I'm a teacher so I'll have to go in for 2 weeks and then have xmas break...this is the only thing keeping me going right now! I'm sooo sad! How did others deal with this??

Re: how do you go back to work???
I only went back part time at first, after the holidays 30 hours a week and that's it. I know as a teacher you don't have that option. I'm sorry, Iknow it's hard - but think how lucky your child is to have a house to grow up in. Also, be thankful that you get to have every holiday and the whole summer off - so many people don't have that. You'll be ok, I'm sure of it. I didn't realize we got married on the same day, although im sure we've talked about it in the past, I forgot.!

I'm also going back to work in 2 weeks and I'm also freaking out!!! Just take it one day at a time. That's what my Gf told me and she went back to work after 6 weeks with both her children.

It is NOT easy but it can be done...and you have lots of women to help you along the way. Just know that the first few days are rough and being busy will help A LOT. You should phase in...meaning bring the baby to daycare for a few hours a week before going back to work. Stay for the first 2x then leave the next time. You will be A LOT better if you know that the baby is being taken care of and that he/she is just fine when you come to pick him/her up.

Re: how do you go back to work???
That is one thing that I don't have to worry too much about. My husband is FDNY so he can work out his schedule for those 2 weeks that I go back before xmas break so he can work nights or something and then I'll be off for 2 weeks and then my mother-in-law is coming to stay for awhile. I just don't want to leave hime at all!! I love spending the day at home with him! It's not who I have to leave him with, it's just that I want to be with him!! I guess it will be rough in the beginning!! Thanks ladies!!!
